Situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the beautiful villa La Gallega enjoys an elevated position on the wooded slopes of Cabaynes. The garden is peaceful, private and a lovely area in which to unwind by the pool. The private pool (9m by 4m) is surrounded by extensive terracing and sun loungers are provided. For convenience there is an outside WC and hot/cold shower. For summer dining there is a purpose built barbecue area. There is also a convenient and comfortable outside dining area adjoining the villa, near to the kitchen and living areas. The villa has 4 bedrooms, 2 with ensuite facilities and sleeps a maximum of 8 people. La Gallega is a 3 minute drive from the small, medieval town of Calonge, where restaurants and shops can be found. The villa is also close to the fishing town of Palamos and St. Antoni de Calonge which both offer a wide range of amenities and attractions. The villa offers a peaceful retreat with access to a range of activities to suit all holidaymakers.

The nearest village to la Gallega is Calonge, about 3 km away. The medieval village offers shops, restaurants, bars and weekly market. The nearest beaches are at the family friendly resort of Sant Antoni de Calonge which has beautiful beaches and a long promenade with fish restaurants and bars. The lively fishing port of Palamos adjoins Sant Antoni to the north. If more private and rugged beaches are your style there are many secluded beaches along the coastline north of Palamos. For example the beaches around Pallafrugell, 20 minutes drive away. Heading inland from the villa is the beautiful nature reserve of Les Gavarres, suitable for walking or mountain biking. There are local walking trails which can be started from the villa itself. The medieval mountain top village of Romanya de la Selva is a short drive up into the hills and offers exquisite dining with stunning views over the surrounding countryside. Cosmopolitan Barcelona is an hour away, offering culture, shopping, dining.

There is also a celing fan for the summer months. Bedroom 2 is another spacious double room with ensuite facilities, and again with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. Ample cupboard space and a ceiling fan are also provided. Bedroom 3 is a room with two single beds and built in cupboard. Bedroom 4 has bunkbeds and is more suitable for two children. The room has a built in cupboard for storage.

Having just returned from a stay at La Gallega this Easter I would heartily recommend this villa. The villa was spotlessly clean and well equipped. All admin was dealt with quickly and efficiently. We went as a group of 5 adults and the space in the villa was perfect for us although the kitchen was a little crampt for more than one chef at a time. The log fire was a boon at Easter in the evenings and so was the barbeque area. The pool was lovely although temperatures at Easter were a little low to use it frequently. Views are excellent set in a modern well maintained housing area but not onorously overlooked at all. We have already recommended the villa to a friend.

We came for an autumn stay and were very comfortable.
The villa was very clean and well equipped. The log fire and central heating kept us very warm during the October nights.
The garden was very well cared for and peaceful and on sunny days we even used the pool. The area is also lovely for long walks either in the hills or by the sea.
Even out of season, there were lots of restaurants and shops still open.
We will definitely visit again.
