The Apartment 'Tom' is located on the top floor of an apartment complex of three to six floors. There is a beautiful view of Los Cristianos, Las Americas and the sea from the terrace. The apartment has a total floor area of about 55 m², comprising a living-room with an open kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, a hall and a terrace. Top quality marble has been used for flooring throughout the whole apartment. There is, of course, a lift. In the living-room there are comfortable sofas and a TV with satellite connection, which receives major international radio and television channels. The kitchen is open to the living room and has all the important items that you are likely to need on holiday: washing machine, ceramic hob, oven, coffeemaker, toaster, juice press, etc.. The large bedroom has a double-bed with a comfortable mattress. The bathroom has a shower, sink and WC.

Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas are the principal tourist centres in the south of Tenerife. With its town centre, port and sandy beaches, Los Cristianos offers a more traditional location to explore than the neighbouring resort of Las Americas. You´ll find daytime places where people meet up, as well as sandy beaches and promenades. In the evening you´ll find bars and restaurants to drop into both on the promenade and in the pedestrianised areas. The holiday brochures promise sun, beaches and a complete leisure infrastructure. Los Cristianos certainly meets this promise. This south-west coast is also more protected from the wind than the south-east coast. The bay and the Guaza Mountain give additional protection. Beach-freaks are well aware of this, and wind-surfers will find better conditions elsewhere. The variety of different foods on offer in Los Cristianos is enormous. Around the harbour you´ll find plenty of fish dishes, homemade paella and Basque Country specialties.

Notes: In the middle of the apartment complex is a large pool-area with two swimming pools. Sun-loungers can be hired. The pool-bar offers snacks and cold drinks. On the terrace, there is a garden table with four chairs and a parasol. The terrace faces south/south-west and gets the sun all day from morning to sunset. Bed linen, hand-towels, bath-towels and tea-towels are provided in plenty.

The distances:: You can walk everywhere, so a hire car is not really necessary. There is a small supermarket just 30 m away. There is a large, “SPAR” supermarket about 250 m away. You can get to several restaurants quite quickly, as they are only a few steps away. The beach is about 10 minutes away, as are the promenade and pedestrianised areas. The central bus station is 10 to 15 minutes away. You´ll need about 15 minutes to drive to the South Airport.

Wir waren im Februar 2009 für 1 Woche im Tom und sehr angenehm überrascht. Dank der guten Beschreibung haben wir es sofort gefunden. Wir wurden nett empfangen und konnten die Wohnung schon um 12.30 beziehen, obwohl bis morgens noch Gäste da waren. Der Zustand der relativ neuen, gesamten Anlage, die in sich abgeschlossen ist, ist sehr gepflegt. Die Wohnlage ist ruhig, was wir als sehr angenehm empfanden. Die Angaben im online-Inserat waren nicht nur korrekt, sondern übertrafen unsere Erwartungen. Gut gefiel uns auch der kleine Supermarkt direkt gegenüber (besonders wegen des Tragens der Wasserkanister) und der größere ca.200 m weiter. Auf dem direkten Weg zum Strand mehrere kleine, gute Restaurants, und ein preisgünstiger Autovermieter, der sogar etwas deutsch spricht und uns am Abreisetag sogar zum Flughafen gefahren hat. Schön auch die Atmosphäre in der Altstadt und die Auswahl an preiswerten Lokalen. Wir würden die Wohnung sofort wieder mieten und können sie guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Die Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Vermieter war zu jeder Zeit problemlos möglich.
