Rothenhof is a typical Frankish country estate with half-timber construction and reflects the romantic charm of Franconia - surrounded by forests and meadows - a source of strength and an area of tranquility in front of the gates of the city triangle of Erlangen-Nuremberg-Fürth. We have a convenient location and are still quietly located in Heilsbronn in the Betzendorf's suburb. Our facilities are spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished, well lit and have a view of the old tree population and the Mediterranean inner courtyard. A perfect vacation ambiance with picturesque surroundings. The large living room offers a lot of space. We placed a lot of value on the equipment of the bathrooms with shower, lower bathtub entrance level, double sinks and separate WC. The master bedroom has en-suite WC.

The ancient big farmhouse, situated on it's ground of 17 m x 13 m, was carefully renovated with a comfortable level and offers space for large groups. On the first floor there are the bedrooms, with floors of wood or cork carpet or nature tiles and they are purposively furnished. The spacious kitchen of wood is fully equipped with Manz-oven (3 levels) and Miele-convection oven, 4 sinks, Nirosta working top and ceramic hob. The open-plan kitchen leads to the dining area with large corner bench (3,20 x 2,40 m) and chairs. It leads as well to the Bauern-Stube of 25 m2 for further dining facilities and chairs. On the 1st floor, right hand side, there is a cozy holiday home (65 m2) furnished with bedroom, 1 living/bedroom, eat-in kitchen and bathroom (with windows) for up to 2-8 people. In the house there are 3 bathrooms in total with double basin and toilets. On the ground floor there is a sitz bath, suitable for old people and children, with double basin and toilet.

Rothenhof is located in a convenient place on the way to the Playmobile Fun-Park (about 12 km) between Heilsbronn and Großhabersdorf and at only 8 km from the A 6. It is about 23 km to Nuremberg before the Christmas market or the zoo, about 35 km to the exhibition center of Nuremberg. Centrally located for other states and parts of Europe. Rothenhof is surrounded by forests and lawn and has an idyllic and peaceful location directly on the Karpfen biking and hiking path. You can conquer the environment, enjoy the nature, breathe pure air or go to the nearby horseback riding farm and feel the happiness of the earth on the back of a horse with your children. You will find a perfect vacation ambiance with a picturesque environment. Heilsbronn offers the charm of a Frankish small city and has places of interests, including one of the few Roman churches in southern Germany - the 870 year-old cathedral. In the cathedral you will find the largest Hohenzoller burial place in south Germany.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The rental rate is for 8 people plus price of consumption for water/wastewater (€5 for 1 m3) and electricity (30 cent/kwh). The average consumption of water/electricity is €15-25 per day, depending on the consumer behaviour.

    The final cleaning fee is € 60.



    In winter time the price of heating in the house is added: 10 cent/kwh, about € 20-30 per day.

    For each extra person € 13 per person/day


    We ask our guests to economize the energy and natural resource.

    Please request our individual offer for stays for 5 days and more.
  • The holiday home (62 m2) for 2-6 people on the 1st floor can be rented separately, if the house is not rented at all. There is no access to the other rooms possible.

    The basis of the rental rate is € 52 plus € 6-8 per child/extra bed,
    € 12 per adult per day.

    The price includes towels and bed linens.

    The final cleaning fee is € 15 for 3 days. We proceed from leaving the apartment tidy and clean.

    The deposit of € 40 is refundable at departure day.
  • To confirm the booking there is a deposit of €150 or 40% of the rental fee required, payable in Euros, after receipt of a booking confirmation by e-mail. Balance has to be received in cash at arrival.
    The rental rate includes 19 % VAT

    The deposit of € 100 is refundable at the departure day.

Notes: The water is applied of the Reckenberg-group in Gunzenhausen and is not chlorinated. And it is centrifuged with our own equipment. You can enjoy the water as potable water. The aroma of the cafe is also more intense and soft.

If you prefer swimming in nature and want to do something for your health, visit the natural pool with a Kneipp facility in Großhabersdorf, Neuendettelsau or the brine thermal springs in Bad Windsheim. The Frankish lake area offers sandy beaches with a Mediterranean flair for small and big children - as does the Palm Beach adventure pool in Stein. Just ask us.
