Haus of Lords - a heaven from home. Our accommodation is nestled in the midst of beautiful countryside with direct views of the National Park of Saxon Switzerland. We are also conveniently close to Dresden (32 km) and Prague (120 km). The apartment has modern fittings and appliances (Internet, dishwasher, natural-stone bathrooms), and we supply walking guides in English. Traumhaft schön!

im Mai 2009 konnten wir 11 Tage lang einen unserer schönsten Deutschland-Urlaube im Haus of Lords genießen. Warum das so war und warum wir immer wiederkommen würden, lesen Sie hier.

Buchung: diese verlief reibungslos und unkompliziert; schon nach den ersten Mail-Kontakten fühlte man sich als Gast herzlich willkommen und wir waren voller Vorfreude.

Lage: bei Gohrisch, nahe dem Kurort Bad Schandau; hier hat man eine gute zentrale Lage zu den schönsten Wanderrouten und Sehenswürdigkeiten im Elb-Sandstein-Gebirge. Zu Fuß gelangt man in ca. 20-25 Minuten zum Bahnhof (oder Fähranlegestelle), um z. B. ganz entspannt mit dem Zug nach Dresden zu fahren. Der Rückweg gestaltet sich allerdings nach langen Tageswanderungen etwas schwieriger, da es vom Bahnhof sehr steil bergauf geht, bis man zur Ferienwohnung auf einer weiten, höher gelegenen Ebene gelangt. Dass das Haus of Lords sich dort oben befindet, hat einen großen Vorteil: im Elbtal ist teilweise recht viel Verkehr (Kfz, Züge, Schiffe) und der Verkehrslärm kann je nach Lage des Feriendomizils richtig laut und störend sein. Hier bekommt man von alledem nichts mit – es ist einfach ruhig und die Aussicht traumhaft.

Ferienwohnung: bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen, stellten unser Auto auf dem hauseigenen Parkplatz ab und bezogen unser 1 Zimmer-Appartement.
Die Fotos der Internetseite werden der Wohnung durchaus mehr als gerecht. Wir genossen 11 Tage lang eine gut ausgestattete, sehr saubere, geschmackvoll eingerichtete Ferienwohnung mit Balkon (unser Appartement) und der dazugehörigen Abendsonne.

Ausstattung und Service: es wird in der Wohnung und im Haus alles geboten, was der erholungsbedürftige Urlauber so braucht; es fehlt an nichts und wir haben auch nichts vermisst. Sollte dies doch einmal der Fall sein, kann man gerne auf die angebotene Hilfe der sehr netten Gastgeber zurückkommen.

Fazit: die schönen Ausflüge, die tolle Unterkunft und sehr natürliche und herzliche Gastgeber, bescherten uns einen unvergesslichen Urlaub. Unschlüssigen kann man das Haus of Lords nur ans Herz legen. Hier wird man nicht enttäuscht und alle ehemaligen Gäste kommen sowieso wieder...

Diese Ferienwohnungen sind absolute Spitzenklasse. Die Ausstattung ist auf höchstem Niveau. Wir haben uns selten so wohl gefühlt und hatten einen tollen Urlaub sogar mit ein wenig Familienanbindung, was wir sehr genossen haben. Das Haus liegt ruhig und in der herrlichsten Umgebung mit Blick auf die Bastei. Die Angaben sind absolut korrekt, doch man sollte es selbst gesehen haben. Das ganze Haus ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir haben und werden dieses Haus so oft empfehlen, wie nur mögich. Die Gaststätte um die Ecke ist ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen, dort gibt es eine ausgezeichnete schwäbische Küche.

Die Beschreibung der Ferienwohnung trifft in vollem Umfang zu. Die Bilder geben einen Vorgeschmack, man muss aber selbst gesehen haben, wie schön es ist. Die Ausstattung, die Lage und der Service sind hervorragend.
In unseren 14 Tagen Aufenthalt mußten wir auf nichts verzichten, von Brötchen-Service bis Internet-Zugang ist alles vorhanden.
Wir können diese Ferienunterkunft nur jedem empfehlen, hier kann man nichts falsch machen.
Das Haus ist ruhig am Ortsrand gelegen, man hat aber eine optimale Ausgangsposition für viele Wanderungen. Die Wanderwege sind sehr gut ausgeschildert und alle "Steine" sind einen Aufstieg wert.
Die B172 ist sehr schnell zu erreichen. Eine der wenigen Elbbrücken in der Gegend befindet sich gleich in Bad Schandau.
Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und uns großartig erholt.

Ein abosoluter Urlaubstraum

Die Ferienwohnungen im Haus of Lord sind der absolute Traum. Wir haben die 5 Tage dort wirklich sehr genossen und uns fast wie zu hause gefühlt. Gern wären wir länger geblieben. Aber wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Design und Service stimmen überein und die Aussicht ist wirklich atemberaubend.

Nochmals vielen, vielen Dank an die Vermieter für die wunderbaren Tage in der Sächsischen Schweiz und das herrliche Wetter, das Sie bestimmt nur für uns bestellt hatten.

Wir kommen bald wieder

Etwas schwer zu finden,dank Navi aber kein Problem. Die Ausstattung sehr anspruchsvoll, besonders das Bad mit seinen Wasserhähnen gibt dem Haus das was es verspricht und macht seinem Namen " Haus of Lords"alle Ehre. Die Nähe zu Dresden und die herrliche Landschaft einfach wunderbar.
Es hat uns so gut getan, dass wir noch eimal im Juli gebucht haben.Freizeitmöglichkeiten sehr viele vorhanden, Toscana Therme Dresden und wandern wandern
