At the north sea:
At Colijnsplaat there are possiblities for swimming in the ocean, walking, jogging, inline skating, biking (bike rental in the village), fishing (licence can be get at the post office), sport fishing and fishing by boat, sailing, tennis, diving, boot trips on the Veerse Meer and on the Oosterschelde to the “Stormvloedkering/Island Neeltje Jans” with a visit to the “Delta-Expo”. At the island of Noord-Beveland you will find walking- and (guided) biking trails. Around the Veerse Meer there are great possibilities for surfing, sailing and swimming. In Veere you will find an old castle with a secret passage to the harbour and the mill. The village goes back to the middle ages. There are sight-seeing tours of the “Stadthuis” and various exhibitions in the “Grote Kerk” (great church). Zierikzee has a mediaeval town wall with gothic gates, old bridge and houses of the Renaissance period. The right place for a memorable walking tour.
In the village Goes and around de 'Veerse Meer':
In Goes you will find “Sportpunt Zeeland” with an indoor swimming pool with two large waterslides, aqua jogging, solariums, steam baths; squash, indoor and outdoor tennis courts and indoor climbing wall. Volleyball court and football grounds can be used against a fee. Between April and September there is a steam powered tourist train from Goes to Borssele/Westerschelde and back. The museum about the history of Zeeland is situated donwtown Goes. Every Sunday at 10.30 there is a mess with Latin songs, sung by pupils of the chorus school in the church “Maria Magdalena”.
Ski:
In Terneuzen there in indoor-skiing. In Vlissingen the same will come in 2009.
Golf:
Goes has an 18-holes golfcourse.
