The house boat is located in a quiet and wide, typical Dutch canal directly in the centre of the old city. From here you walk only five minutes to the central station. The holiday apartment for 2 (or 3) people has a living room with a built-in kitchen, a luxurious bathroom, a bedroom with a king size bed, complete equipment and central heating. In the heart of the Amsterdam old city, the house boat is docked in a peaceful and safe residential area. However, you are very near the "new market" (Nieuwmarkt), a lively place with bars and restaurants. From here, it is only a few minutes walk to the famous red-light district of Amsterdam. All possible public transportation, like the Metro, tram and buses stop near the boat. Furthermore, there is a sun deck with a cosy bench facing the south, right in front of the door. From the window, you can feed the swans and ducks.

Amsterdam has a lot to offer. With the canals and the picturesque buildings from the 17th century, it is perfect for long walks or for a cruise, as offered from many points throughout the city. There are a lot of old churches, dreamy squares and terrace cafes. Amsterdam has more than 50 galleries and renowned museums, like the Van Gogh Museum or the Rijks Museum. Live music, theatre and shopping options and a rich night lift are offered. There is also a variety of markets: flea markets, (biological) vegetable markets, flower and fish markets... you will find them all over the entire city. In short: it is one of the best cities to spend a holiday. Of course, you can rent a small boat or bicycles in order to discover the historical city in an authentic way.
