Villa Ombrigi is situated at the northern shore of Bolsena lake, the largest volcanic lake of Europe (to the limit between Latium, Umbria and Tuscany), where you can play all of water sports and go sailing also by motor-boats freely. In its limpid waters there are several kinds of fishes that make local cooking very tasty. Bolsena is only three kilometres from Villa Ombrigi. It's a small town by Etruscan-roman origin, afterwards important medieval centre along the Via Francigena. There you can see the ruins of Etruscan-roman city of Volsinii, the medieval district, conserved integrally, with the Rocca Monaldeschi (seat of Territorial Museum of Bolsena Lake) and the Basilica of Saint Christine, with its mysterious catacomb where the famous Eucharistic Miracle was in the 1263. Around Bolsena you can visit Orvieto, Civita di Bagnoregio, Tarquinia, Bomarzo, Vulci, and you can reach easily Siena (113 km), Florence (150 km), Perugia (98 km), Viterbo (30 km) and Rome (113 km).
