Beaches :
Just a few kilometres from the village there are magnificent beaches on the East Coast - Cala Mondragó, S´Amarador, Cala Santanyi. The beautiful bay of Porto Colom with its cosy bays and pituresque views of the natural harbour and the lighthouse is only 10 minutes drive away. The natural beach of Es Trenc, the longest sandy beach on the island and famous for its Caribbean flair, is about 40 minutes drive away.
Worth seeing:
In close vicinity there are daily different majorcan markets ideal for your daily shopping or just to take a leisurely stroll around. Fresh fruits and vegetables, leatherware, jewellery and traditional domestic products and specialities are offered. Santanyi offers a wide program of exhibitions and concerts. The stalls of the lively market in Santanyi – twice a week – are set up through the whole town center.
Cala Figuera - also just a 15 minutes drive away - is one the most beautiful fishing villages of the Balearic island. Like a fjord the gorgeous harbour stretches deep into the cliffs and gives natural shelter to the fishing boats. Just see it!
The mountains of the monastery San Salvador near Felantix offers great views from the height of 509 m.
The second largest city of the island, Manacor, has become famous for its manufactury of artificial pearls and its furniture industry. Porto Cristo and its famous stalactite caves - the Cuevas del Drach- is also nearby.
