Surrounded by a 350 m2 garden with roses and herbs you will find this lovely renovated holiday apartment in a peaceful and central location in Centro Storico of San Quirico d'Orcia (Sienna). The studio apartment consists of a bedroom area, cosy living room with sofa, modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, oven, new bathroom with shower and romantic garden with grill. Only a few minutes away you will find countless bars, restaurants and terraces with regional cuisine and Tuscan specialties. A supermarket, multiple connoisseur shops and wine stores are also just a few minutes away on foot. In the Centro Storico you will also find a large park area, a romantic rose garden, a large lawn and a playground. For emergencies, there are multiple doctors and a pharmacy in the village.   • After a lovely renovation, the entire studio radiates a lot of warmth and cosiness and is equipped with quality products. A spacious kitchen with an electric stove, oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine and gas grill on the private terrace also offer a lot of cooking fun and cosiness outside. The cosy, light inner area with a comfortable 1 person and 2 person sofas and a wonderful view of the garden invites you to relax and let go. Thus, every day here will have a relaxing end! A flat screen TV with DVD is also available (DVD rental store is only 50 m away - no German language DVD's). Healthy sleep is very important! Our house was built with thick stone walls. The advantage of this is that there is a comfortable climate for sleeping both during the hot and cold months. Since the garden is always closed, you can also leave the windows and doors open.

Ankommen und wohlfühlen! Wer wünscht sich das nicht von seinem Urlaub. Italien einmal ganz anders - ohne Touristen-Belagerung, überzogene Preise oder unfreundliche Gastgeber. Das ist San Quirico d'Orcia! Toskana wie im Bilderbuch. Wer möchte - entdeckt die Langsamkeit - auch ohne Auto gibt es hier viel zu entdecken und erleben.

Man fällt aus der Haustür und steht mitten im historischen Zentrum (Centro Storico) mit vielen romantischen Plätzchen, Boutiquen, Restaurants und kleinen Bars. Drum herum - jede Menge Postkartenmotive.
Über eine der zahlreichen Strada Bianca ins 5km entfernte Bagno Vignoni, auf einen Sprung nach Pienza und Montalcino oder auf einen guten Tropfen zu den netten Weinbauern der Region.

Nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag kann einfach die Seele baumeln lassen, den wunderschönen Garten mit Olivenbäumen, Rosmarin und Rosen bei einem gut gegrillten (Grill vorhanden) Bistecca vom Metzger um die Ecke genießen. Dazu ein Glas Rotwein - was will man mehr. Das Zimmer ist stilvoll eingerichtet und mit allen modernen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet.

Die österreichischen Vermieter waren immer sehr hilfsbreit - vielen Dank noch mal für die tollen Ausflugs- und Insidertipps. Wir haben eine traumhafte Woche verbracht und kommen bestimmt bald wieder.

Urlaub - zum Erholen, aber nicht langweilig....

Wir waren 2008 das erste mal und heuer in der Karwoche bereits zum zweiten mal in dem schönen Ort San Quirico d'Orcia. In diesem schönen Apartment fühlten wir uns so richtig wohl, haben wunderbar geschlafen und jede Minute genossen. Sobald man die Tür des Apartments zu dem schön angelegten Garten öffnet, strömt einem ein wunderbarer Duft nach Kräutern und Blumen entgegen. Zu unserer Zeit stand der Rosmarin und der Kirschbaum in voller Blüte - ein toller Anblick!
San Quirico d'Orcia hat einen wunderschönen mittelalterlichen Ortskern (das Haus befindets sich übrigens mittens drinnen). Bäckerei, Lebensmittelgeschäfte, aber auch nette kleine Boutiquen, Kunsthandwerksläden, Cafe's und Restaurants sind praktisch "um die Ecke" zu Fuß erreichbar.
Ob mit dem Auto oder zu Fuß - es gibt genug zu sehen, riechen, schmecken, ...
Die österreichische Gastfamilie gab uns wertvolle Tipps für Unternehmungen, führte uns ein wenig in die Geschichte des Ortes und der Umgebung ein und gab uns das Gefühl "zu Hause" zu sein. Wir freuen uns jetzt schon auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt!

Erholung pur!

Im März sind wir, meine Tochter und ich, dem kalten Wetter von Österreich entronnen und haben ein paar wundervolle Tage in dem schönen San Quirico verbracht.

Der schöne Garten lädt zur Siesta ein und nur ein paar Schritte weiter um die Ecke gibt es sehr guten italienischen Kaffee, Eis oder Pizza.

Die österreichische Gastfamilie hat uns super betreut und hat uns hilfreiche Tips bez. Outlet's, Ausflugsziele und Märkte gegeben.

Das Appartement ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bietet alles was man braucht. Meine Tochter (6 Jahre) meinte sie habe super geschlafen.

Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!!!!!!

Im Herzen der Toskana und dennoch Insel der Ruhe

San Quirico d'Orcia ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um die südliche Toskana (abseits vom Rummel und Massentourismus) zu erkunden. Zahlreiche Restaurants und natürlich viele Weingüter laden zum genießen ein. Die Wohnung liegt in einem sehr schönen Garten im Centro Storico und verspricht jeden Tag ein romantisches Erwachen. Die österreichische Besitzerfamilie kümmert sich liebevoll um seine Gäste und weiß seine Gäste zu den beliebtesten Plätzen zu führen. Wir werden sehr gerne wieder kommen.
