We offer an approx. 100 year-old comfortably furnished country house, located in a peaceful valley of the region “Le Marche”, close to the village Monte Giberto and 20 minutes to the nice beach of the Adriatic Sea (Porto San Giorgio). The house is located in the picturesque loneliness of an olive grove to one side and a big orchard to the other side. From the house you have a stunning view across the valley and Sibillini Mountains beyond. (2.450m). There are 20 peaks over 2000m and several ski resorts in the area. The house features an impressive pool with 1.80cm depth. A 1,500 sqm. garden and a small guest house for 2 persons (the guest house will be rented seperately, information will follow very soon) belong to the house. Beside figs (4 different kinds) and cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums, oranges, lemons, grapefruit, tangerines, apricots and grapes grow in the lovely garden. The areal is surrounded by a secure fence and an electrical gate. Dogs are welcome.

The house is located at the end of a 'white street' (gravel path), pictorially embedded by a field of sunflowers, the orchard and our olive grove with approx. 90 trees (you are welcome to visit the olive harvest at the end of October!) and close to the village Monte Giberto, a small charming historical place on top of the hill of 322m height. From here you have a fantastic view to the mountains and the sea side. For your daily shopping’s you find all kinds of shops, a traditional trattoria, a bar / pub and a doctor and a chemist's shop. The ideal day starts with a nice swim in the ocean (20 min drive), a lovely Caffè macchiato afterwards at the Piazza at the bar 'El Pirata', a stop at the bakery to buy a stove-warm bread and then a 5 minutes journey home to prepare yourself a nice breakfast on the roofed terrace - this is quality of life!

The region and cities: The region Le Marche is located in central Italy between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea, the region enjoys a very varied landscape going from mountains through hills to beautiful beaches. In the north you have the region Emilia – Romanga, in the south the region Abruzzi and west side the Tuscany region. In the hinterland there are fine, ancient medieval boroughs, whereas the canters along the coast are mostly modern, and suited to summer tourism, thanks to the low waters and fine sandy beaches, apart from one high, rocky cliff at Monte Conero, with, just below, the city of Ancona, the main port of the region. Ferries depart to Greece. A14 coastal motorway towards Bologna and Bari is easily reached.The nearest airport is Ancona (Falconara) which is approached by many airlines.

The village and the next harbour with beach: Porto San Giorgio beach can be reached in approx. 20 minutes. Beside the large yacht harbour many small restaurants and bars line up along the beach side as well as the mayor railway station. Monte Giberto, the nearest city, has approx. 750 inhabitants and can be reached in 20 min. (walking distance) or a by car in 5 min. There are several shops, a post office, a chemist's shop, a doctor, a bar and an Osteria. Several big supermarkets are within easy reach. (15 min drive).

Italian food, wine & shopping: At the moment the region le Marche is one of Italy’s best kept secrets and is relatively undiscovered and still unspoiled by tourism. The immediate area has countless pictureque hill top villages and small towns which provide a wide range of cultural and sightseeing interest as well as a good choice of local restaurants. The le Marche region is well known for his excellent food and wines. Besides the culturel offering, several factory-outlets are in the closer area with attractive prices. Brands like e.g. BOSS, Hogan, Tods, Fay and Prada, to name some of the famous brands.

Charmantes Landhaus!

Unser Urlaub im Juni 09 in Monte Giberto war ein Traum!!

Dieser Ort ist für alle diejenigen, die abseits der überfüllten Tourismusorte, Italien pur genießen wollen! Hier findet man Ruhe und Entspannung in einem sehr charmanten Landhaus mit allen Annehmlichkeiten.

Das schöne Haus bietet mit seinem großzügigen Pool, viele Möglichkeiten sich in der Sonne oder unter einem alten Lorbeerbaum im Schatten zu entspannen oder einfach am Abend unter der überdachten Terrasse den köstlichen Fisch, aus dem nahegelegenen Fischerort Porto San Giorgio, neben Landwein, den wir sehr günstig und schmackhaft kanisterweise gekauft haben, zu geniessen.

Besonders zu erwähnen ist der traumhafte Garten des Hauses, der das Herz jedes Hobbykoches höher schlagen lässt. In einer sehr gut ausgestatteten Küche macht es viel Spaß, italienische Köstlichkeiten der Region zu kochen. Auch die Zikaden, Glühwürmchen und sogar eine Nachtigall haben uns allabendlich begeistert.

In der Umgebung findet man zahlreiche kleinere Dörfer mit charmanten und netten Restaurants und Marktplätzen. Kaum zu glauben, aber Städte wie zum Beispiel Fermo, bieten eine atemberaubende Oper die ihres gleichen sucht.

Es ist nicht zu übersehen, dass hier ein Professor für Architektur an der Arbeit war - das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll und stilsicher eingerichtet mit viel Charme und Liebe zum Detail, ohne dabei zu vergessen, dass es sich hier um ein Landhaus handelt.

Zu guter letzt sei noch erwähnt, dass wir die zahlreichen und nahe gelegenen Outlets (Prada, Tods, Boss, Hogan etc.) alle besucht haben und topaktuelle Taschen und Schuhe gefunden haben. Aber auch die vielen netten Märkte in den kleinen Dörfern bieten eine sehr große Auswahl an Schuhen und Textilen.

Uns und unseren Freunden hat der Urlaub sehr gut gefallen und wir werden eventuell das nächste Mal, den Spätsommer während der Trüffelzeit buchen, um dann auch die beiden Kamine im Haus ausprobieren zu können.

Idyllisches Traumhaus

Dieses alte Landhaus ist sehr liebevoll restauriert worden ohne den Charakter des Hauses zu verändern. Die Einrichtung und Dekoration ist absolut stilsicher und gab uns von der ersten Minute an ein schönes Wohngefühl. Man hat hier nicht die Atmosphäre der üblichen eher pragmatischen Ferienhäuser, was sicherlich daran liegt, daß die Eigentümer auch oft selbst hier wohnen.
Die Ausstattung ist vollständig und wenn etwas fehlt, kann man es in der näheren Umgebung problemlos besorgen.
Der große Pool bietet neben 6 guten Liegen und einem Sonnenschirm auch einen großartigen Ausblick in die schöne Landschaft - Entspannung pur.
Das Haus ist über eine unbefestigte Strasse zu erreichen (an deren Einfahrt man am Anfang auch öfter mal vorbei fährt). Autos mit sehr geringer Bodenfreiheit werden hier Probleme haben. Nach ca. 500 m erreicht man das eiserne Tor, daß per Fernbedienung geöffnet wird und parkt direkt vor dem Haus. Hier ist auch noch Platz für 2-3 weiter Autos.
Vor dem Haus befindet sich eine überdachte Terasse, auf der es sich sehr gut Frühstücken lässt. Abgesehen von gelegentlichen Traktorgeräuschen von den umliegenden Feldern herrscht absolute Ruhe und Entspannung.
Die umliegenden Orte sind alle nicht sehr groß, bieten aber Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und vor allem sehr schöne und preiswerte Restaurants.
Zum Meer fährt man 20 Min. und ist dann im trubeligen, italienischen Adria-Strandleben.

Tolles Haus aber gröbere, technische Mänger

Bei Ankunft: 3 Tage kein Warmwasser, denn Therme defekt. "Riechbare" und zweifache Überschwemmung der Toilette beim Pool, während unseres Aufenthaltes. Von 14 Tagen Urlaub, ab dem 7. Tag Pool grün und algenverfärbt. Bis Ende unseres Urlaubes (die letzten 6 Tage) nicht benützbar.
Unmengen an Stechmücken, kein Gitter an den Fenstern(bis auf 1 Zimmer).
Wir haben unseren Urlaub enttäuscht, vorzeitig abgebrochen.
Ohne diese Mängel wäre es ein wunderschöner Urlaub gewesen, und all diese Gebrechen wären jedoch vermeidbar gewesen bzw. hätten rascher behoben werden können.
Lt. Unterkunftgeber haben wir uns zu wenig um die technischen Gebrechen gekümmert, wir hätten uns früher und öfters melden sollen. Diese Hausmeistertätigkeiten sehen wir in unserem Urlaub aber nicht als unsere Aufgabe.
Owner's Response: Die Inspektion des Boilers wurde eine Woche vor Ankunft der Mieter ausgeführt, leider ist trotzdem eine Störung aufgetreten.

Es ist nicht die Toilette ausgelaufen, sondern es gab einen Rückstau bei dem Bodenablauf der Dusche, die wohlgemerkt nur als Ausweichmöglichkeit in der Werkstatt liegt. Zusätzlich gibt es zwei hochwertige Badezimmer mit Toilette im Haus.

In Folge der ungewöhnlichen Kombination von Starkregen und großer Hitze, haben sich im Poolwasser Algen gebildet. Leider wurden wir erst am dritten Tag der Algenbildung benachrichtigt, obwohl wir in dem Gästeanschreiben darum bitten, uns bei größeren Problemen umgehend zu benachrichtigen. Wären wir früher über diese ungewöhnliche Konstellation informiert worden, hätte die von uns beauftragte Poolfirma schneller die nötigen Chemikalien zufügen können. Der Pool wird unabhängig davon regelmäßig einmal die Woche gewartet.

Selbstverständlich befinden sich in jedem Schlafzimmer Moskitonetze, deshalb werden nicht noch zusätzlich Mückengitter vor den Fenstern benötigt.

Wir haben unser Bedauern aufgrund der widrigen Umstände den Gästen bereits mitgeteilt und finanziell gewürdigt. Uns tut es natürlich sehr leid, dass die Gäste sich gezwungen sahen einen Tag früher als geplant abzureisen.

Unaufdringlicher Luxus und Ruhe

Absolut ruhig und idyllisch, abseits der Straße gelegenes Anwesen mit eigener Zufahrt und gut umzäunt mit ferngesteuertem elektrischem Tor. Sehr gut abgestimmte Ausstattung mit alten Gegenständen, Bildern, Skulturen und stilvoller Eleganz bis ins Badezimmer. Die Küche beinhaltet alles, was man als Hobbykoch so benötigt ( außer Eierbechern). Kräuter in Hülle und Fülle bietet der Garten. Liegen, Wäsche, bis zum Poolbereich alles in sehr gepflegtem Zustand. In wenigen Minuten erreichbarer Zeit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und authentische Restaurants. Einfach ankommen und sich wohl fühlen.
