The bus, shops, restaurants, spa grounds with music pavilion, swimming pools/sauna, mini golf and the Bavarian Zugspitz train are all within walking distance. Nearby are many beautiful footpaths, walking/ bicycle trails as well as cross-country trails in the winter.

Wir haben ein "alleiniges" Ferienhaus in Grainau für 4 Personen mit Hund gesucht und auch genau das gefunden, was wir suchten. Es war alles genau wie beschrieben und sehr preiswert! Im Haus hat es an nichts gefehlt. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war sehr nett und ehrlich. Sie hat uns mit Insidertipps geholfen und so den Urlaub, auch für die Kinder, noch attraktiver werden lassen. Unsere anfänglichen Bedenken (das Haus liegt direkt an der Strecke der Zugspitzbahn) sind nicht bestätigt worden, da die erste Bahn erst nach dem Wachwerden startet. Ausserdem ist sie ja eine Attraktion und besonders die Kinder haben sich über jeden "Zug" gefreut, der vorbeikam. Den Abend konnte man auf der Terasse sitzend, vor der Bergkulisse ausklingen lassen. Die Lage des Hauses ist ideal um Touren zu unternehmen und doch nicht weit zum Zentrum. Es war ein wirklich gelungener Urlaub und wir kommen wieder! Vielen Dank.
