Highlights::
The Bergerie is our 'second home'; we use it a lot and have thus furnished it so that we feel comfortable there. We would also like our guests to have a stay as comfortable as possible. You will be received on site by an acquaintance, given instructions and then you can enjoy your time. You will find, for example, a folder that contains all of the important telephone numbers, maps, tips and a lot of knowledge about the region. There are also hiking guides, magazines and more books. On request, you can get bedsheets, towels and kitchen towels. And as a small highlight, we have tried this for a short time: there is a little supply of drinks and food that we provide free of charge, we just ask our guests to refill it with similar goods. Thus, everyone has what they need for their first day!
A charming destination during the summer & winter!:
Located in the heart of Provence, Lorgues is an ideal location for relaxing or for excursions. The closest big city is Draguignan (13 km). You can get to St. Tropez in one hour, the closest beaches are about 40 km away. Another highlight is the Gorges du Verdon with the lake 'Lac de Sainte Croix' (about 45 minutes). Visit one of the many vineyards or drive to Salernes (15 min): the city lives from the production of tiles and pots, handmade with the clay from the area, some still burned in wood fires! Also during the winter the Provence has its own charm! Everything and everyone is 'back in the past'. Even the otherwise hectic Cote will become more peaceful then. There is something very special nearby: ride to the truffle market in Aups. Even if you can't believe it at first glance: despite the secretive manner, mushrooms are sold there, not drugs! Ski:
Lorgues is surely not a place for 'power skiers', but those who would like to ski or sled sometimes will find a beautiful landscape about an hour away with the first ski regions under the sun of the Mediterranean Sea in the 'Alpes Maritimes'! And those who drive a few more minutes can get to Europe's largest ski region: skiing and sledding until May! Experience Valberg or Isola 2000!
Golf:
In Départment Var you will find a dozen golf courses. The most beautiful 18 hole courses nearby are: Golf de Barbaroux (by Brignoles, 31 km), Golf de Roquebrune (30 km), Golf de St. Endréol (La Motte, 20 km), Golf de Ste Maxime (41 km).
