On the island of Lefkada, also called Lefkas, Villa Elenia was built in 2005 and the holiday apartment has been awarded the Greek EOT certificate, which stands for top quality, faultless technical condition and well-kept interior. The apartment has its own entrance. The bright rooms with their light blue furnishings offer a superb view out over the sea to the south west. In the summer months a service for snacks and coffee is also available. In the evenings the pool and barbecue area offer welcome relaxation from a day in the sun.

The area around the apartment and the town has grown in a Greek kind of way as the management of the olive groves has increased.... pretty gardens have been created, little wine-growing areas developed, and the roughly layered dry stone walls supporting the terraces are witness to the hard work involved in rural population. The old town itself with its historical museum has lost nothing of the original Greek way of life. A little further downhill is the village Tsoukalades with several tavernas and a mini-market for everyday needs.

Special characteristics and travel information: - the magnificent views out over the sea and up to the high mountains of the mainland and, on clear days, as far as Corfu - the large swimming pool, approx. 10 m long - the small children's pool with fountain - perfect for playing in - barrier-free, family friendly, near airport, no pets allowed, smoking permitted Close to airport, family friendly, no pets, smoking permitted wheelchair access. Travel information: By car: with ferries from Italy to Igoumenitsa or Patras. By air: to Athens, Corfu or Preveza, then only approx. 28 km by bus or taxi. From 2007 there is an air connection from Corfu to Lefkas-Marina by seaplane. To the island leads a bridge.

Special and activities: The fantastic view to the mountains and the activities: - apart from the large swimming pool, about 10 m long and up to 1.9 m deep, there is also a smaller pool with a fountain, in which children can happily play. - Kiting on the beach at Frini is extremely popular. - take a tour along the coast road to the beautiful viewpoints above the beaches of Kathisma and Agios Nikitas by the Ionion Sea.

Even in January this beautiful island doesn't fail to impress . The views from the 1rst floor balcony are incredible , although there was the odd eery morning when we couldn't see further than 20m . But with the heady smell of olive trees and greek mountains you can forget the lack of visibility on these days . The villa is easy to to find and easily accesible as well . Although you will need definitely need a car to get about . It is a 10minute drive from Lefkas town which has everything you could possibly need . EVEN in January .

The owners of this villa are genuinely lovely people , willing to help in any way they can (even giving me directions over the phone!! ) The villa itself was clean , warm , beautifully finished with stunning bright blues . I can't thank you guys enough for making my stay a pleasant one . I definitely will be back in the future . Have a good 2009 . Nikki

Hi all. We have had a very beautiful flat with a perfect service. Relaxing on the pool, well taste in the Taverna, that's how holiday should be.
