The two-under-one-roof villa was built in early 1900s in Duinbergen, Knokke-Heist. The villa has been fully renovated with respect for it's typical architecture. The villa is south oriented. The self-catering villa is the ideal setting for family beach holidays. On the ground floor there is a large entrance hall and a cloakroom, a high beamed ceiling living room with dining corner and a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer). On the first and second floors there are 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The villa is surrounded by a terrace that allows you to enjoy the sun away from the crowds. A private beach cabin is at your disposal for the time of your stay.

The villa was built in the early 1900s and is completely renovated in 2007-2008. It was one of the first villa's that was built in Duinbergen. Duinbergen is a family village, part of Knokke-Heist. Most villa's here are built in the traditional white cottage style. It is conveniently close to the elegant Knokke and the very trendy Le Zoute. The natural reserve Het Zwin is only 7 kms away. On the other side of Duinbergen we first reach popular Heist and then Zeebrugge with its sea port. The villa is ideally located for a mixture of see-side pleasures like walking, biking, beach and visiting the historic towns in Flanders. The beach is only 300 m away. Damme is 10 km away. Brugge is 15 km away. Brussels is 125 km away.

Shopping, wining and dining: Excellent bakery, butcher, fish shop, general groceries at walking distance. These shops also offer very good fresh take-away food. Shopping with capital S in Knokke and Le Zoute. Wide range of restaurants and tea-rooms at walking distance.

Beach cabin: A private beach cabin is at your disposal for the time of your stay (April-September). The beach cabin is equipped with beach furniture and beach toys. It is very useful with children and/or surfboards. Perfect to enjoy your corner of the beach.

Visiting: Bruges, Gent, Brussels and Antwerp, the famous art citys of Flanders can be easily reached. Less known small treasures like Damme, Lissewege... are very nice bike destinations through the polders. Going to Holland (Cadzand) via the natural reserve 'Het Zwin' by bike is a favorite destination of our children.

Lovely Old Villa

Our Family (Grandparents, parents, and kids aged from 1 to 60 odd) stayed in this villa for a week in August. There were 9 of us in total and we had a great time. There is plenty of room, the house was nicely cleaned before we arrived and well supplied with linen and towels. The villa is really well looked after and feels more like someone's house rather just than rental accomodation. The owners make a real effort to make you feel welcome. It has bags of character and is newly decorated. There is a nice patio outside with a table for evening drinks/food, we ate outside on a couple of warm evenings. Massive bath and cool shower on the 1st floor. The beach hut is really useful, saves having to lug a load of stuff to the beach.
I can recommend it.
On the downside, sound travels quite easily from the ground to the first floor. If you're trying to sleep upstairs and people are still partying downstairs then you will have interrupted sleep. The kitchen is smallish.
