Case Metato - Penthouse is flat with a panoramic terrace in a country house, 500 metres above sea level and nestles in the hills of Camaiore in the province Lucca. Its current owner, an architect, has rebuilt it in loving and original style as a cosy refuge with three residential units. Inside and out, it radiates a serene air of rustic freshness. The loft apartment features original bulls-eye windows on the top floor, backed by an inviting kitchen; the little breakfast spot in front of the house is just as charming, opening directly out of the bedroom. Pale ceiling beams, wooden and terracotta floors, freshly whitewashed walls and a bright interior are features of the house’s rural Tuscan style. The cosy living area is decorated in classic style with a large antique fireplace to complete the welcoming atmosphere. Here and there, antique rural artefacts add a tasteful note to the design.

Here at the very latest, no one can help falling in love with this region, its towns and villages world famous for their art and architecture. But the natural environment is well worth exploring too. Wandering through the softly rolling hills you’ll come across vineyards at every turn.
