Landevennec is also named "le petit Nice de la Bretagne", the small Nice of Bretagne. It is a small, contemplative city in the east of the peninsula of Crozon, directly on the estuary of the Aulne river in the Atlantic. Located far from tourist cities and is known for its mild micro-climate (palm trees, mimosa, citrus fruits....) A paradise for fishers, collectors of all types of "Coquillage" (oysters, Palourdes ..) and water sport enthusiasts (small sport harbour). L. was founded in the century of the monks. Very attractive here are the ruins of the former monastery, the affiliated museum and the new Benedictine abbey.
