Sardinia, the second largest island placed in the midst of the Mediterranean, is one of the most beautiful places in the world. With over 1800 km of coastline and its wild landscapes attracts many visitors from all the Europe. The sun shines all year long; the weather is mild with an average of ten degrees centigrade in winter. Local cuisine, very different from the other regions of Italy, has the scent of charcoal and the aromatic flavours of myrtle and juniper. The island produces also superb grapes and renowned wines as Cannonau, intense red colour, or Vermentino, pale yellow. Cala Liberotto is a small enclave in the gulf of Orosei (east coast of Sardinia). The gulf’s morphology offers a rich variety of forms: from long beaches of finest sand, to cliffs of pink rocks, bordered by pin aster, juniper and myrtle. The sea is crystal clear with turquoise nuance. The place is calm, ideal for family or rest. Orosei has also an interesting historical centre and neuralgic ruins.
