At the heart of the old city!

This is a simply lovely place to stay if you want to visit old Verona. First, it is situated tight in the centre - a bit like having an apartment in a medieval Bond Street. You are close to Piazza Erbe for people watching but you can go off the main strip quickly for a quiet walk by the river or a valpolicella in a quiet bar.
The apartment has everything you could possible want and offers an opportunity to live so very differently from being in a hotel at a
comparable price. It really is fully equipped. There's a handy supermarket across the river and you're close to the Molinara restaurant which is authentic, delicious and excellent value as well a range of good bars.
We went to Verona in October and it was sunny and warm. It's a lovely, friendly city. Don't hire a car! The bus from the airport - even from Breschia for Ryanair - is fine.
The apartment owner was consistently helpful. She gave us helpful instructions, met us on arrival, left a generous welcome pack and gave us lots of contacts. When we left she even gave us a lift to the station!
Any downside? There isn't a balcony if you want to do Romeo and Juliet and it is at the top of the building (the lift is fine). The apartment itself was very quiet in terms of the building but you are in the centre of a busy city and there's a bit of noise from the bars but nothing that a glass of grappa or Italian brandy won't suppress! For couples of any age who like wandering round old cities with a central comfortable base this place is just the ticket. Five Stars!
