The beautiful apartment (72 sq m) is in a quiet location in the centre of the romantic fishing village of San Giorgio di Gioiosa Marea; it is just 100m from the beach. The apartment on the first floor consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 bathroom and 1 open plan kitchen. All rooms have stone floors. The large balcony surrounds the apartment and grants access to all the rooms (except the bathroom). Furthermore there is a roof terrace (about 300 sq m) for sunbathing or other use, from which you have a fantastic view over the turquoise, crystal clear sea. There is a small supermarket, some small shops, a post office and a train station nearby. By the pine-lined promenade you will find various restaurants, bars, ice cream parlours, etc.. The beach offers lidos and numerous bars as well as an open air night club in the evenings. For those seeking for tranquility, there are numerous romantic and secluded places.

The romantic fishing village of San Giorgio lies on the Tyrrhenian coast, about 80 km west of Messina. Its original charm has hardly changed. The village is famous for its turquoise coloured sea and its coast that overlooks Lipari and Vulcano (Aeolian Islands) which fiery glow can be seen at night. In the high season there are events for tourists every evening in San Giorgio or in Gioiosa Marea. The latter has many small shops, restaurants, pizzerias, churches and palaces. The Piazza is a popular meeting point for young and old people in the evening. Furthermore a new swimming pool is now open in a recreation- and health centre with different gym and fitness rooms. San Giorgio is situated near Capo Calavà and Milazzo. It is an ideal starting point to visit for example the Roman-Greek city of Tindari (20 km) with its archaeological excavation (Greek-Roman Theatre, basilica, Roman Villa).

General information: A 20% deposit is required upon booking; the balance is due 10 days before arrival. A € 100 deposit is payable on site upon arrival and is refundable upon departure. If you leave at night, the deposit will be refunded within 7 days. Linen and towels provided: € 30 per person and per week (change each week).

Arrival information: The easiest way to arrive is by plane. Palermo and Catania airports are both about 180 km away. It is also possible to take the ferry boat to Genoa - Palermo with your own car or a rental one. The nearest train station is Patti Station. From Palermo drive towards Messina by the A20, take exit Patti. From Catania, take the A18 towards Messina and at the junction to Palermo take the A 20 towards Messina and then the exit Patti. From Patti continue on the SS113 towards Palermo until you reach San Giorgio after about 6 km. The street continues in a left turn through a rail bridge. Here go straight ahead along the beach which is actually in San Giorgio. By the entrance of the city, passing the 1st road, turn left and just afterwards right in Via Zara. Casa Nina no. 29 (Condominio Speranza - 9 family houses on 3 levels) is located almost at the end of the road.
