Beautiful Time

The second my girlfriend and I arrived in Cornwall we fell in love. The cottage is amazing. It sits on top of a cliff, so you can imagine the amazing view. It is a brand new place with cute/romantic furniture. The bedroom has a king size bed with cozy covers, a closet, chair, fully body mirror and window. The bathroom has an awesome walk-in shower and the sink has enough space for all toiletries (which is a plus for anyone that has been to hotels were you wonder where to put your toothbrush!). The kitchen is open spaced and includes all new appliances. The living room has a sofa, TV and DVD player -but trust me, we did not turn that thing on once because the view from the huge window is breathtaking. The Island (I forgot the name but there are local stories about it that it is owned by two crazy sisters. I think it just is a bird sanctuary), the small fishing boats, and the beautiful ever changing sky. Never have I seen so many variations of colors. It looks almost fake at times. The sky changes from light blue to yellow to pink to dark red to dark blue with brush strokes van Gogh would have been jealous off.
The town Millendreath (where the cottage is) has nothing to offer besides a beach. The water was freezing while we were there but that did not stop the British from going in. The really cute old fishing town called Looe is only 5 min. away by car or about 20 min. by foot along the coastal path. We walked there about nearly everyday because of the nice walk, the yummy Cornish Pasty for lunch and a Homemade IceCream cone. At night, we tried a couple of the Restaurants but decided to cook at home (the Cottage) because the British cuisine is really terrible and expensive on top. The pubs around Looe are cool. If you have never been to England, I recommend you go have a Pint of Ale in the Fisherman's Arms.
During the day, we took little sightseeing trips. I really recommend you take a drive to the North of Cornwall and if you miss good food, you will find Jamie Oliver or Rick Stein's Restaurant on your to do list.If you enjoy playing Golf, go hit the ball because is one of the best around, the Eden Project is nice if you like plants, and if you enjoy looking at houses and gardens, well, there are enough of them to look at.
We had an awesome week and will definitely return to this Cottage! Whether you look for a romantic weekend or an escape getaway, this place is a good choice.
