Photos and Description of this Koroni holiday house Patio, air-conditioning - first rental summer 2009

The house is in a traditional Greek brick construction on an idyllic property above the sea. A lot of value was placed on an individual and lovely furnishing so that you do not only live comfortably, but rather also 'with all senses'. Both bedrooms are located on the sea and, just like the living-dining room, it has an entrance to the large patio where you can enjoy a stunning view of the Ionic Gulf. The open kitchen is optically separated from the living room through a white-washed half-height brick wall. As is usual in Greek cottages, the ceiling beam construction in the main part of the house is visible, which provides for an airy and original atmosphere. The large handcrafted full wood furnishing, the nearness to the nature and the charming view of the nearby sea contribute to allowing for you to really relax, let go and relax.

Embedded in a softly hilly green landscape in southwest of Peloponne you will find the fishing city of Koroni. The region is known for olive groves, vineyards and cypresses and thus, Koroni is correctly named the 'Pearl of Peloponne' by the Greeks. Villa Bozgainvillea is located near the sea before Koroni coming from Harakopio in the district of Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) in an absolutely peaceful location. Two peaceful small natural beaches can be reached on foot in 5-10 minutes. You can get to more beautiful beaches nearby by car. The water has the quality level of 1 overall, is crystal clear and the sea is comfortable warm until October due to the mild climate. In spring and fall, you will find optimal conditions for running, mountain biking and hiking. Koroni can be reached by car in about 5 minutes where you will find everything for your everyday needs (including a doctor, bank, post office) and here typical Greek village life occurs throughout the year.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Included in the rental price are bedsheets, towels, water and electricity including heating-a/c. The usage of the washing machine in the house is free of charge. In order to be able to offer all of our guests a well-kept house, you will be charged € 60.00 for final cleaning. On request, we can provide a crib including furnishing and a high chair free of charge.
  • Payment conditions: upon booking, 20% of the rental price is due. The remaining payment is due 6 weeks before your arrival. After the remaining payment, we will send you all required information in regards to your arrival, key handover, etc.
  • Arrival and departure days: Saturday and Sunday. We ask you for understanding for the fact that other days are possible only after consultation. Arrival: by car from Athens 4 hours. With the ferry from Venice, Triest or Ancona you can reach Patras - in a 3 hour drive you are in Koroni. We can help with tips for ferry bookings or cheap rental cars on request.

Notes: Both of the bedrooms and the living- and dining room are equipped with air conditioning so that you can also enjoy a comfortable room climate on particularly hot days. During the transition period and in the winter months, this can also be used as heating. The access to internet occurs through an internet card (similar to a telephone card) that you can get in Koroni (please bring along your own laptop). The kitchen is very well equipped and invites you to try out one or another Greek specialty yourself. In addition to the dining room, the spacious terrace with a pergola and a partially covered area with blinds, offers the perfect space for a cozy dinner or a glass of wine (grill option available). The illuminated castle of Koroni and the glittering lights of Kalamata create an impressive background. For an authentic atmosphere, there is a selection of CDs with Rembetiko music.

About Koroni: If you are looking for the real Greece in its originality, its untouched nature and its open, friendly people and at the same time want to experience a diverse, lively holiday, then Koroni is the perfect location. Nearby you will again and again see when a goat herder goes by with his herd or an old man transports all of his possessions on a donkey. In Koroni the lively village life invites young and old to walk and go to different stores and shops. Particularly beautiful is to go on the pier during the evening where you can enjoy fresh fish in an inn on the harbour or you can set up your food together in the private taverns or in the kitchen. Finally, the burg created by the Venetians and illuminated during the night and the monastery above the sea create the image of the picturesque fishing city.

Attractions: Visit Kalamata, one of the richest and most beautiful cities in Greece. Awaiting you is a special shopping experience: from boutiques for famous brands to small shops to aromatic seasoning stores in the old city district - you can discover a lot here. Experience the gypsy market (always Thursdays) - as early as possible so that you can enjoy it during high summer. Vegetable and fruit markets where the farmers offer their harvest can be found from Koroni to Kalamata. Hike on historical floors: the antique locations of Olympia, Sparta, Epidaurus and Mykene can be reached in day excursions. The impressive burg area in Methoni and the famous Navarino Bay (battle of Navarino) in Pylos are also worth visiting and very exciting for children as well.

Beach life: In and around Koroni there are countless natural beaches and bays where you can spend undisturbed days and simply relax. Through the stunning water quality, Koroni is one of the few places worldwide where the endangered false hawksbill turtles still build their nests. The mild climatic location on the Ionic Gulf allows for swimming options form May to October.

Als seit Jahren erfahrene Ferienhausnutzer werden wir dieses Domizil in die "Top 3" unserer Ferienhausliste aufnehmen und ihm aktuell den
1. Platz zuweisen. Hier stimmte nicht nur die Beschreibung sondern Lage, Ausstattung und Zustand des Ferienhauses übertrafen unsere Erwartungen. Auch die Abwicklungen im Vorfeld mit den Besitzern waren unkompliziert, klar und strukturiert. Die Hinweise bezüglich Anfahrt mit dem Mietwagen von Athen/Flughafen zusammengefasst auf einem A 4 Blatt waren verständlich und sehr hilfreich.
Die Beschreibung der Umgebung mit Angabe der Güteklasse 1 für das Meerwasser stimmten mit unseren Erfahrungen überein. Der "Hausstrand" sowie sämtliche Tipps im "Logbuch des Hauses" ist/sind sehr empfehlenswert.
Wir würden diese Unterkunft jedem weiterempfehlen - allerdings mit der Bitte, es so pfleglich zu behandeln, wie man es vorgefunden hat, damit es möglichst lange erhalten bleibt.
