About the pretty town: Marina di Camerota is a lively town with excellent infrastructure located between Palinuro and Scario right on the coast. It was mentioned first time at the beginning of the 17th Century. Marina di Camerota, also known as the pearl of Cilento, spoiled by its very pleasant climate. The town and the surrounding terrain are planted with hundred-year-old olive trees and lemon trees. The ocean is clean and clear with a deep blue-green colour. In small coves you will find beautiful sand- or pebble beaches, many of which are publicly available.Calanca beach is nearly in the middle of the village behind a small crossing street from main street (Via Bolivar). The village and its surroundings offer several bays and beaches to relax on. The southernmost beach of the village is the family-friendly Lentiscelle beach. The beach can be reached over a spacious parking area in a few footsteps. Some years ago the fishing fleet from Marina di Camerota was one of the famous fleets of the country.
