Newly refurbished and equipped holiday home in historic wine village of Enkirch, on the long-distance Mosel heights trail. Ground floor: Entrance hallway, kitchen, lounge/dining room, exit to decking area with seating for 6. First floor: Shower room/wc, bedroom with king-size double bed and seating area, bedroom with 2 single beds. Top floor: Bedroom with king-size double bed and seating area, bathroom with tub and separate shower. The modernisation was carried out with environmentally-friendly technologies in mind, such as external wall-insulation, central heating by a pellet stove in the lounge, and the water is heated either by solar panels or the pellet stove. Original features were restored, like the oak staircase and the wooden floorboards. The rooms are bright and friendly, with contemporary furniture and equipment, and all ages will feel comfortable and at home.

Sympathetically restored timber-framed houses, cobbled streets, romantic courtyards and quaint wine bars invite you to explore and relax. The climate is mild, and the location between Cochem and Bernkastel-Kues make Enkirch an excellent base for exploring this most beautiful part of the Mosel region. You will find countless tourist attractions, like historic villages, castles, museums, adventure parks, boat trips, wine trails, etc. There are excellent sports facilities for walkers, climbers, cyclists, water sport enthusiasts and golfers. The distance to Frankfurt-Hahn airport is only 18 km, and a good road and motorway network guarantee easy access from all parts of Europe.

Fantastic self catering accommodation with more mod cons and accessaries than you could wish for. Clean, stylish, comfortable and spacious. There is a yard outside with a table and six chairs, which was a surprise to us and an added bouns plus a small playground to the side of the house suitable for younger kids. 10 mins walk through the village by the Mosel is a larger playground, playing fields and crazy golf. There is a cafe come restaurant 50 yards away (Nonnenhof) where Ralf and Regina will serve you great wines, snacks, cakes, ice creams and evening meals. In the village you will find plenty of other restaurants, pubs, a butchers, bakers, small supermarket, garden centre etc etc. It is a great base for walkers and cyclists. There are plenty of things to keep the kids occupied in the surrounding areas, but a car is useful! Swimming (indoor and outdoor), karting, canoeing, a zoo, go ape to name just a few. If you were to fly to the region, then it could be explored using public transport - the train station is on the opposite side of the river but can be accessed using the regular small passenger ferry.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the house and the Mosel and will definitely return in the near future.

Brilliant property, village and area.

Stayed here with my family late August 09. You will be amazed at the quality of this home and location in a wonderful village. Everything you need is provided, TV with many English channels, PC with internet, coffee maker, nothing has been skimped on at all. The Mosel valley and small towns and villages are all like a picture postcard. The home is very spacious, spotlessly clean with very nice duvets and pillows.It really is difficult to find any fault - oh, and very close to Hahn airport. Hope to return again. Paul, Steph and the lads. Last point - there is a children's playground adjacent.

Mein Mann und ich verlebten einen wunderbaren Urlaub vom 2.-16.9.09 in diesem schönen Haus, in dem es auch nicht an der geringsten Kleinigkeit fehlte.Es ist sehr sauber und äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es gab eine hervorragende Betreuung durch den Vermieter ( viele Fotos von allen Räumen) im vorhinein und eine freundliche Betreuung durch die Dame, die in der Nachbarschaft wohnt und uns empfangen hat.
Enkirch ist ein gemütlicher Moselort, in dem man wunderbar essen kann und es liegt sehr schön im Mittelpunkt . Von dort aus kann man in alle Richtungen fahren und Sehenswürdigkeiten bewundern.
Wir haben uns rundherum wohlgefühlt.
