The antique city house was lovely and stylishly restored in 2006. Through the typical Ligurian village alleys you can get to the ground-level house. On the ground floor you will find the well-equipped kitchen, the living and dining room with the spacious terrace with an unobstructed sea view. Through a stone staircase you can get to the first floor with two separate bedrooms, hallway and bathroom with shower. The larger bedroom has a large bed, the second has a sofa bed. Through another staircase you can get to the upper roof terrace with a wonderful view. The house is stylishly furnished and is heated through central gas heating and a pellet oven.

The beautiful, historical mountain village of Vasia (about 450 residents) has a very picturesque location on an elevation of 385 m in the backcountry of Imperia in the middle of olive groves, facing the south and the coast. Vasia has a small grocery store and a post office, in Caramagna (about 7 km) you will find a supermarket. The soft mountain landscape invites you to go hiking or mountain biking. The clean and well-kept beaches in Imperia and the surrounding area (see ADAC test) are only about 10 km away and offer swimming fun from May to October. Not far form here you will find very beautiful and interesting locations that you can reach easily over the highway: if, for example, you drive along the coast to the east, you can visit Diano Alassio (25 km), Portofino (140 km) and Cinqueterre (150 km): if, in contrast, you drive to the west, you can reach San Remo (20 km), Monaco (55 km), Nice (about 75 km), Cannes (90 km) and Saint Tropez (180 km).

Culture: Ca del Borgo is particularly ideal for those interested in culture and art, and who are nature lovers. The lively hustle in the sophisticated cities on the coast (Alasssio, Ospedaletti, San Remo) contrasts with the medieval villages in the backcountry, which enchant with their stories, for example, the witch village of Triora, the mystical Ceriana or the ruins of the village of Busana Vecchia. For art lovers, a visit to Genoa with its Palazzi and the old city, which is protected by UNESCO, are both a must.

Nature: From Vasia you can go on wonderful small hikes. For those with experience, excursions are possible to Monte Faudo and Monte Foligia (about 6 hours) or an excursion to the neighbouring France in the nature park of Mercantour (about a 1.5 hour drive by car) where you can climb up to 3000 m in order to see the sea alps.

Das Gebäude befindet sich in einer 1,70 m breiten Gasse zwischen anderen historischen Gebäuden am Rande des kleinen Dorfes - für Spaziergänge mit dem Hund ausgezeichnet.
Nach telefonischer Ankündigung hat uns der nette Eigentümer auf dem Marktplatz erwartet und das Gepäck in einem kleinen Wagen zum Haus gebracht - völlig unproblematisch, genauso wie das abendlichen Parken im Dorf.
Das Gebäude wurde dem Alter entsprechend gut restauriert , ist ge- mütlich eingerichtet und war bei unserer Ankunft tadellos sauber.
Die Dusche könnte größer sein und mit 2 älteren Kindern wird das Kinderzimmer eng.
Der Blick von den großen und windgeschützten Terrassen auf Olivenhaine und Meer ist fantastisch.
Gefehlt hat uns ein Restaurant im Dorf, da die schmale und kurvige Straße von Imperia nach Vasia bei Dunkelheit nicht angenehm zu fahren ist.
Ein kleiner Lebensmittelladen mit Brot, Wurst und Käse ist aber vorhan- den.
Die Eigentümer wohnen im Dorf und sind bei fehlenden Kleinigkeiten sofort behilflich.
Genua und Monaco / Nizza sind von Vasia gut zu erreichen.
Freunden, die die abendliche Ruhe in einem Dorf mögen, werden wir die Wohnung weiter empfehlen.
Owner's Response: Vasia hatte jahrelang ein sehr gutes Restaurant, welches leider aus Altersgrunden geschlossen wurde. Alle bedauern diesen Zustand sehr, aber es ist bereits ein neues in Planung und wir hoffen, dass es 2010 eröffnet wird.
Die gut ausgebaute Straße von Imperia nach Vasia ist zwar kurvenreich, aber auch in der Dunkelheit mit großen Autos wie z.B. VW-Bus problemlos zu befahren.

Ein traumhafter Urlaub

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in Liguren und waren total begeistert. Vasia ist ein sehr schöner und ruhiger Ort, eingebettet in Olivenhaine. Das Haus ist mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Von den Dachterassen hat man einen fantastischen Ausblick über Imperia bis zum Mittelmeer. Eine Oase, die man nach ca. 15 min. Fahrtzeit mit dem Trubel am Strand tauschen kann. Ausflüge in die nähere oder auch etwas weitere Umgebung kann man sehr gut mit dem Auto über die Autobahn erreichen. Das Hinterland ist ein Traum für Wanderer. Einen besonderen Dank an unsere Vermieter Mauro und Olga für die liebevolle und individuelle Betreuung vor Ort. Die wertvollen Hinweise für Ausflüge und das italienische Leben haben uns den Abschied sehr schwer gemacht. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Mille grazie - Klaus, Martina, Hannah und Tabea
