The Résidence Les Stoëchades lies on the Giens peninsula, which stretches before the mediaeval town of Hyères with its pleasant shops and cafes. Only a coastal road for residents separates the Résidence from the long sandy beach which stretches from Port Saint Pierre to Débarquement La Tour Fondue. From there one can take a 20 minute ferry journey to the popular islands of Porquerolles (bikers’ paradise), Port Cros (nature reserve) and Le Levant. The peninsula is a very natural holiday environment with its lagoon atmosphere, flamingos and quiet beaches and is equally interesting for nature and water sport fans. Divers in particular value the diverse underwater fauna around the Iles de Porquerolles. In just 5 minutes by car one reaches the small village of Giens, which offers a unique view across the peninsula with the other islands lying before it, as well as an inviting café just perfect for a Pastis. The restaurants here also spoil the discerning guest.

Nearest Beach: beach at 50 Metres
Hyères is the most westerly and at the same time oldest spa and bathing resort on the Côte d’Azur, yet it does not show too many signs of tourism. With its palm-lined avenues and other exotic trees and with its intact, lively old town centre, the resort is very appealing and has real southern flair. Above the town lie the remains of the old palace. The trip from Hyères to the bathing resort of Hyères-Plage (approx. 5 km) takes one past wonderful villas and gardens. Hyères-Plage itself is like a drawn-out holiday complex along an approx. 20km long beach. The yacht harbours on the beach are the largest ports of this kind on the Côte d’Azur.
