Charming old country house with breathtaking view, wonderfully isolated and hidden in the hills between Monteverdi Marittimo and Canneto. The entrance is up the typical Tuscan farmhouse outdoor stairway and opens into the large kitchen and living room, from where one has a wonderful view over the hills of Canneto. It is sparsely furnished with just the important things needed; reading chair, sofa, desk, panorama and a wood fired furnace. A long corridor leads off from to the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one of which is huge.A small flat downstairs with bathroom can be hired in addition for 2 more people. The pool is behind the house with access across the terrace.Built-in kitchen with extractor fan, oven, large fridge, super espresso machine, and a dining table with space for at least 8 people. Wood fired furnace and an open fire plus central heating ensure it is warm in the winter months. SAT TV. Garden is fended in and dogs are welcome. About a 20 minute drive to the beach.

It is about 30 minutes or a bit more in the car to the sea at Cecina or Castagneto Carducci or the beach/nature park “Sterpaia” on the Gulf of Follonica. It is about 5 minutes to the small hamlet of Canneto with a bar, a super pizzeria and gourmet restaurant Il Ghiotto. Monteverdi Marittimo is a bit further away, but does have the usual village necessities such as a bank, Guardia Medica, grocers and the well known delicatessen shop “Mucci”.The most important things to mention are the absolutely peaceful location and the breathtaking panorama.Monteverdi lies on the southern point of the Province of Pisa, high above the spacious flat lands of the River Cornia. Near by are also several other pretty villages: Bolgheri, Suvereto, Castagneto Carducci, Campliglia Mma. For days out at Rome, Florence, Pisa you can also go by train- station nearby. Biking and treks/walks are possible all over this area.

Bedroom, living room, kitchen with dishwasher, extraction fan, oven, fridge. Bathroom with shower cubicle. This flat can ONLY be hired together with the larger flat and not on its own. The final road to the house is, as usual in Tuscany, just a dirt track and not suitable for cars with a low body construction.

An impressively large bathroom with tub and shower unit plus an extra toilet.The large flat has 3 bedrooms ( one with a large double bed, the second with a double bed (1,60) and the third with 2 single beds) Room for 5-6 adults, huge bathroom with tub, shower and toilet, plus an extra toilet. Kitchen, living room. Shaded and sunny terraces, garden furniture….. its all there! The pool is 7x 3.5m and so deep that all guests must be able to swim (Italian law). Pets are welcome and safe due to the fenced in garden, but must be kept on the grounds and are not allowed to run wild and disturb the wildlife, nor are they to be allowed on the sofa, chairs or beds! Parking space next to the house.
