This tiny, but cute little house stands between orchards, vinegroves and a vegetable garden in the small hamlet of Santa Caterina with about 10 scattered houses. Really very peaceful and simply furnished it has room for 2 (+1) people. Lovely and romantic for honeymoons or a couple hat just wants to get away from it all. Surrounded by small woods and well tended olive groves – one can really switch off and relax. The beautiful rooftop terrace is so inviting for reading, lazing, dreaming and watching and viewing the countryside… This is where the 'Tuscan dining room' is at its best! Garden furniture, sun beds, sun umbrellas, baking house/barbecue, 2 grottos, a lot of grounds, 2 “garages” below the house, one of which can be used by the guests, although not for the car, but for bikes and storage of hobby equipment e.g. surf board, diving equipment etc. The kitchen now has a lovely wood fired furnace, so that the house can also be heated in the winter.

Location: Sassetta in Italy

Car: necessary
Surrounded by small woods and well tended olive groves – one can really switch off and relax. The small village of Sassetta with approx. 500 inhabitants has a bank, 2 grocers, a baker, chemists, several other different shops plus a recommended butchers, pizzeria, hotel, 2 restaurants and an Osteria. Sassetta is also a health resort. Larger supermarkets are in Donoratico and Venturina, a short drive in the car. Further restaurants are in the surrounding villages and towns. The beaches are attainable with the car, at Marina die Castagneto, the Gulf of Follonica or the Gulf of Baratti. There are several old an historically interesting towns nearby.

Notes: The roof top terrace is beautiful, about 25 m², which can be reached by an outside stairway without a handrail. It is furnished and invites you to have your meals here and just relax and enjoy the view.This house is simply furnished but still has everything one needs. It is furnished mostly with old furniture, the kitchen seems a bit small, which in the summer doesn’t really matter as one is seldom in the house. The outdoors, especially the 25m² terrace is just too enticing! The kitchen has a wood fired furnace, so that the house can also be heated during the winter. There is also a 4 flame gas cooker, fridge and microwave, also a TV. The bathroom is divided: firstly the room with wash basin then the toilet, shower and bath.Both rooms are on the ground floor: the living room/kitchen with fireplace and dining table and 2 max. 3 chairs, the bedroom is not so cramped. There is a double bed, wardrobe, and enough room for an extra bed. There is a bakinghouse/barbecue in the garden. .
