Big Timber holiday house

This newly remodeled, western style ranch house enjoys a beautiful location on a 300 acre wildlife retreat east of Livingston. The Yellowstone River is on the property, just a short walk from the house, and is a great place to go fishing, or to have a family picnic. There are multiple ponds on the property, including a large one out in the front yard, where there are ducks, geese, blue heron, cranes and more. A small rowboat is available for a little paddling around the pond. The home has a wonderful woodstove for those chilly evenings, all new furnishings and is very comfortable. The home is approximately 1600 square feet, all on one level.

The home is about 10 minutes east of Big Timber, and about 40 minutes from Livingston. Billings is east of the home about one hour and Bozeman is an hour and a half away.

Bedrooms: The home has three bedrooms, all decorated very tastefully, with a western theme. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds. The third has two twin beds. There is one full bath in the house just off the living area.

Kitchen: The large, open kitchen has an electric range and oven, a dishwasher and a microwave. There is lots of counter space, including a counter area with bar stools for folks to sit and chat with the cook. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need as far as cookware and serving ware, and there is a spice cabinet with all the basics.

Dining room: The dining room table seats four comfortably. There is also seating for two or three more at the kitchen bar counter.

Living room: The comfortable living room has a woodstove for warming up on a chilly evening, comfortable seating, and a television and VCR with satellite service. Many of the furnishings throughout the home are beautiful, yet sturdy, antiques from the area.

Outdoor amenities: Out the back door is a small patio with a gas barbecue grill for those outdoor meals. You will find extra outdoor seating and a picnic table for those outdoor meals. A huge, well kept yard, is perfect for a barefoot walk through the grass, or just lounging around in the great outdoors.

Services available: The rental rate includes an end of stay cleaning. For guests who stay two weeks or more, a weekly cleaning will be done. Additional housekeeping, as well as catering service and grocery shopping can be arranged with a bit of prior notice.

Activities nearby: Besides excellent fishing right on the property, there is hiking, horseback riding,and just relaxing and getting away from it all!

Other details: No smoking is allowed in the home. No pets are allowed on the property or in the home without prior written approval from Mountain Home. For guests that obtain permission for a pet, there is a dog kennel at the property for "Fido" to dry off and get cleaned up before coming inside the home. There is a private phone and a laundry room with a washer and dryer. All Mountain Home properties have fully equipped kitchens, and include good quality kitchen, bath and bed linens, and staples like paper goods, laundry, dish and hand soaps.
