'La Bastidonne' in Céreste : Very quiet Property of 4 hectares with a breathtaking views of the Luberon hills and stands in a rural setting 2 miles from the village of Céreste (15 km from Apt), looking south over fields to the Parc Naturel Regional du Luberon (the magnificent range of hills where 'Manon des Sources' was filmed). Le Mas des Lavandes (in pictures), Charming detached Provençal House standing independent with its own private garden with flowers, grass, trees and shrubs, and a coverd terrace where one can eat and relax. Very comfortable accommodation for 4 to 6 people, chimney, barbecue, garden chair. The truly splendid 12m x 8m pool (securated for kids and shared with 2 others Mas and the owner) with a very large paved surround and magnificent views of the Luberon hills.

Excursions: An unusual sight are the ochre quarries of Roussillon just beyond Apt, expoited since Roman times. A must for budding astronomers is a visit to the Observatoire de Haute Provence near Forcalquier. Aix en Provence, a lively university town famous for its fountains, summer music festival, animated atmosphere and Vasarely Museum. A short drive away, but still within easy reach, are some famous Provençal towns with amotive names : Avignon (with "Le Palais des Papes"), Isle sur la sorgue, Pernes les Fontaines and La Fontaine de Vaucluse. To the south of the Luberon range is the valley of the Durance, one of France's foremost fruit producing regions. Each day, you can choose to go to a Provençal market : Saturday on Apt or Manosque, Sunday : Reillanne or L'Isle sur la Sorgue, Monday : Forcalquier or Cavaillon, Tuesday : Banon or Gordes, Wenesday : Sault (near Mont Ventoux)...
