Fornalutx is a small village in the north west part of Mallorca, surrounded by the Tramuntana mountains and sweetly scented orange and lemon groves. Twice voted the most beautiful village in Spain it has narrow alleys, cosy street cafes, a couple of really good restaurants, a few shops, bank and pharmacy. The house, which is located just 2 minutes walk from the village square, dates back to 1919 and has many interesting modernist features, including a fantastic modernist facade. The house is furnished to a very high standard and has everything you need to make your stay very comfortable and enjoyable.

We kindly ask our guests not to smoke inside the house. House is unsuitable for people with mobility problems and children under the age of 10 will need supervision on the staircase.

We stayed at the house in may 08.
Booking and contact to the lokal agent was very easy and without any problems.
The house is a typical townhouse, very clean, with wonderfull furniture, a new kitchen (complet) and a lot of nice details.
The roof terrace is the highlight...we enjoyed it every morning and afternoon. I can`t describe the view...

There are no long ways in Fornalutx. The placa with nice bars and a little supermarket is about 3 minutes to walk. It is a wonderfull place to stay when the day-visitors left the town. There is a mixture of residents an a few tourists, a lot of children and "silence". No trouble at all.

But there are some important details to know. The house has at least 5 floors from cellar to the roof. There are a lot of stairs to walk. This could be bad for disabled people and little children. And: you have to carry everything to the terrace...!
The bathrooms a very small.
There is no direct parking place or spot. You have to park on the public parking place. There is a traffic warden and you have to pay for it every 3 hours. Think of the purchase...!

With regard to the parking - my only comment for future guests is to clarify that charges for the car park apply from 11am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, so no getting up in the middle of the night! Also it doesn't cost a great deal, in fact just a few Euros. The house does have access by car, for loading and unloading, but as the streets are so narrow parking is not possible.
