Les Adrets is a hill-top village, sought after by those seeking good access to Cannes and Frejus and beaches. This is the protected countryside of the Esterel and apart from the rural village there is the ideal mixture of country surroundings with the beaches at Mandelieu La Napoule. The villa is right in the centre of the village with bar, shops (including two small supermarkets, boulangerie, bureau de poste, pharmacy and newsagent and 3 restaurants). Les Adrets is equi-distant between Mandelieu La Napoule and Frejus Ville and beach. By contrast, Frejus Ville is an ancient Gallo-Roman Town, full of Roman ruins and with a great traditional Provencal crafts and markets. Adrets is a much sought after village. Due to its location and access to the Motorway just 5 mins away (can't be seen or heard from the village),you are in touch with the rest of Provence and Alpes-Maritime. Aqua sports, Flumes and go-karting are 20 minutes away. Use our WINDSURFER AND BIKES.

Additional information about rental rates

  • We offer a discount for holidays longer than 2 weeks, and also offer stays of not less that 4 nights. In addition to Sterling, both US$ and Euros are accepted. Rates include all electricity, gas, servicing of pool and garden. Linen, towels and cleaning are included. Prices are net of bank charges, when there is a bank transfer.
    Rental dates/changeover days are normally from Saturday to Saturday, unless you arrange otherwise with us when booking.
  • A 25% deposit is payable at time of booking. The balance is payable six weeks before the start of the rental, plus a refundable security deposit of £150 for one week stay or £250 for longer periods. This deposit is refundable within 30 days of your departure.
    When you enquire, we will send you a sample reservation form which sets out our terms, including those for cancellation should you be obliged to do so.
  • On arrival you will be met at the Villa by a friendly local English speaker who will show you around and answer any queries. A French portable telephone is available on request, using a pay-as-you-go card. There is also a professional catering service for meals, served in the apartment (extra charge). Use of TWO BIKES AND A WINDSURFER are included in the price.

  • The large bathroom is fully tiled, with a generous full-size shower cubicle . There is a handbasin, lots of cupboards and a full-size washing machine, and hair-dryer (don't pack your own). We leave washing powder etc for you, and essential bathroom supplies. There is a separate WC.

There is also an extra single bed available to be used as required in either the bedroom or salon, and also a cot for a baby. Notes: The large (30sq.m) sunny salon has a seating area for 6,with TV,DVD etc. The salon also has a full eating area for 6. A purpose-built sleeping alcove opens off the salon, with closable doors, containing a full double bed, reading lights etc. This room has two French doors onto the terrace, which also has tables for eating out and barbecuing. A cot and an extra single bed can be placed in either the separate bedroom or in the salon. Meals are taken in the salon dining area which seats 6, or in the full kitchen, or outside on the terrace overlooking the sheltered pool which has solar powered heating. An extra eating area (under shelter) is by the pool. There are guidebooks, maps etc.There is a windsurfer and two bikes, a table tennis table, and garden furniture, pool equipment and sunshades. Beach and pool equipment is supplied.

Beautiful Surroundings: The Esterel hills lie between Frejus/St Raphael and Cannes/Mandelieu. The villa is quiet and peaceful in its own grounds, and faces due South. There is really easy access to and from the motorway (exit 39), which is 4km away and cannot be seen or heard. For a water-oriented holiday both places offer very good beaches and restaurants, those of Mandelieu being more sophisticated, and Frejus more family oriented. The lovely Lac St Cassien is 5 minutes away and offers water-sports, picnic spaces and rural restaurants. All sites offer equipment rental facilities. Flumes(Aqualand)and go-carting are available if you are that way inclined. There is both easy and serious walking in the Esterel hills, including guided walks from the village. The hinterland goes up beyond Grasse and Fayence to the Verdon Gorges. All the above are well documented with guide-books and maps for you in the villa.

Enjoy the Villa and the Village: During March to October meals are usually taken on the outside terrace, and there is a barbecue. The pool has solar heating, and so is always at a very acceptable temperature, and is pleasantly secluded. With ample private gardens, and your own entrances, you can happily spend whole days at the villa, with table tennis and 'boules' and poolside garden furniture provided. In the village there are two small supermarkets (one well stocked for your needs), a baker, a pharmacy, bureau de poste with cash machine, a newsagent and a tourist office. Also there is 'Chez Pierre', a pleasant bar with terrace, and three restaurants within walking distance, and several others within ten minutes drive. Of course Mandelieu/Cannes and St Raphael/Frejus are both well provided for restaurants, and are reachable within fifteen minutes in either direction.

Life-style: Many people rent the property for various Cannes Festivals and events close by, so it's possible to enjoy the busy Cote d'Azur life from this close-by peaceful rural setting. The villa is just five minutes from the AutoRoute, which gives speedy access to Nice Airport in around 45 minutes, with Aix en Provence and the whole coast within easy reach. For those interested in things Provencal, the ancient town of Frejus is a great attraction, with its Roman theatre and aqueduct and its famous markets and medieval Abbey. There are four great golf courses within 30 minutes drive, and 9 within the hour, including the Royal Mougins, the Valescure, and various excellent courses at Mandelieu and Vidauban. Tennis is available in the village, with two other clubs 10 minutes ride away. If the beaches and the coast are crowded, then you can profit from the more peaceful and beautiful lake of St Cassien, five minutes away, with watersports, restaurants and walking.

My family spent a wonderful two week break here in June/July 2008. Very clean and well maintained throughout and the customer service was the best I have experienced on this type of holiday.
Although the property is shared with the owners it is still very private and the owners, when they are there, are very discreet. All said, we we very lucky to meet them and share their excellent hospitality.
The pool is wonderful and we spent many a lazy day beside it. A great location for seeing all the sights of the Cote d'Azur and Provence. After a day sightseeing it was wonderful to arrive back in the peaceful village and our apartment.
The village is a real taste of French life and although small it catered for most of your needs. You felt like 'a local' within days.
We'll never forget sitting on the terrace, sipping wine and watching the stars.
A lovely holiday, a lovely village and a lovely apartment.
