The village is famous for its Acropolis with the castle of the Knights, the traditional architecture of the houses, the narrow alleys, the beautiful sandy beach and the very active nightlife. Lindos was famous in ancient times for its naval force. Today the 700 inhabitants make their living almost exclusively from tourism. From here you can easily reach the southwest part of Rhodes with the picturesque villages and fabulous beaches. Lindos can also be reached by boat from the Mandraki harbor.

The Valley of the Butterflies: The Valley of the Butterflies is worth a visit, in order to watch the beautiful, colourful butterflies. This is a lush green Valley ,with a small river running through it. The site is Beautifully arranged, with little wooden Bridges ,stone steps,and an uphill path which leads to the Monastery of the Virgin of Kalopetra. The Valley of the Butterflies is a unique natural Park, where each year from June to September ,thousands of multicolored butterflies appear.
