Just outside St. Jean De Luz, this luxury villa with a fenced pool is typically Basque in style. The villa is named Haitzpean and welcomes you to a pleasant holiday during which you will discover the culture, life style and traditions of the Basque people. The villa is 2.5 miles from St. Jean De Luz town centre and beach and 9 miles from Biarritz and Spain. Haitzpean is built on a wooded 4300m2 lot and has beautiful views. The villa is in the village of Ascain, near the RD918 . The local tourist board has awarded it 3 stars. It is well furnished, with a covered terrace and garden furniture, and an outdoor eating area with %?Cplancha%?D cooker and barbeque. There is also as a fenced pool (10x5m) and a pool house with a bar. Haitzpean provides 165m2 of living space, consisting of 4 bedrooms, a mezzanine and 2 bathrooms. It can comfortably accommodate 8 to 10 people. Four bikes are available, as well as WiFi internet access.

St. Jean De Luz is a little fishing port in the French Basque Country and a very popular seaside resort. Its authenticity, culture, cuisine, beautiful beach and mild climate all add to its charm. There are numerous activities on offer such as trips to interesting towns and villages and walks to see the La Rhune (Neolithic monuments) or to the Ventas restaurant to enjoy a pleasant meal and a magnificent view. The fetes in Pamplona and Bayonne are a must-see, as is the Tuna Festival in St. Jean De Luz and the various other festivals in the surrounding villages where you can enjoy Basque singing, folk dances and Pelota, a Basque ball game similar to squash played with either your hands, a racket or a bat. There will be %?CRebot%?D and %?CCesta-Punta%?D Pelota matches between the teams from Biarritz and St. Jean De Luz. For golf, go to Chantaco (just under 1 mile away), La Nivelle (3.5 miles) or further afield to Chiberta, Le Phare or Ilbarritz.

  • 25 percent of the cost is payable on booking and the balance is payable on arrival. In case of cancellation, the 25 percent will be refunded by the owner. We request that you produce a cheque for 1500 EUR as a deposit, which will only be cashed in cases of damage. This cheque will be returned to you within 10 days after your departure. The house must be left in the same state in which it was found. Bedding, towels and other linen are provided (except for beach towels).

  • The ground floor bedroom has an en suite bathroom. On the first floor there is a bath room with a bath and a separate shower and two sinks. There is a separate WC on each floor.

The flooring on the ground floor is tiled and the whole first floor is oak parquet. There is not carpet so no risk of mites.

The device to open the gate cannot be operated by children under five. The pool is treated with salt. The pool house has a bar with a fridge and a HiFi. Parasols and six deckchairs are available.
