For my money you can keep all the coastal villages and towns down the length of the Costa Del Sol...if you want to see real Spain Canar is the place. The house is a classic Andalucian village home...and home is the operative word. The house is slap bang in the centre of village life, very typically Spanish and very well appointed. When we went there in June we instantly felt it was the sort of place you could go time and time again; just to plug into the way of life was a real joy... There's no supermarket just a tardis masquerading as a village shop...they sell everything there from a stick of celery to a set of spanners....and a couple of bars where you can buy good value meals. The views of the mountains from the roof terrace are exceptional and the village is a photographer's paradise. Once you reach Canar you can see that the drive was well worth the effort.
Summing up, I'd say if you want to see what Spanish Spain really looks like and you want to experience the rural village lifestyle, Canar is a good place to find it.....open the door to this house and you'll open the door to Spain

That's why we fell in love with the property..it really is a piece of true Spain and the villagers are lovely and welcoming. Once you step through the doors however, we believe we have created a 'home from home' with all the modern comforts and as you say views to die for! I hope to be welcoming you there again soon!
