outside: Wonderful and private 10 x 5m fenced (chlorine) pool (with additional alarm) which can be lit at night - perfect for that midnight swim! The pool has Roman steps at the shallow end. Further Details: Satellite television with DVD player is located in the 2nd lounge, which runs the length of the house and has two sets of French doors: one leading to the pool in front and the other to the terrace and orchard behind. The next-door study has a hand-made desk and a games/crafts table. Outside, the pool overlooks the garden’s cherry, apple, and citrus trees, with rows of vines in the valley beyond. The 9X4 pool has a solar cover that keeps it at a comfortable temperature in October and April. The cover is removed in the summertime and the pool is protected with a child-safe alarm. Babeau is centrally heated and has a safe for valuables.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms: There are two downstairs bedrooms, one queen, one twin. Three upper-floor bedrooms are on either side of the mezzanine. Two twins, while the third has a private terrace and queen bed. Babeau's bathrooms are newly fitted with clean, white fixtures. On the main floor are two bath rooms, one with bath and shower, the other with shower only. Upstairs is another bathroom with w/c. A 2.2-metre dining room table--specially made in teak for the space-- has comfortable seating for 10. A marble-topped kitchen table seats an additional four. Teak loungers and a table for 10 surround the pool, which has a removable solar cover. The back terrace overlooks vineyards and orchards. Another terrace upstairs overlooks Duras in the distance. A welcome basket with wine is provided free of charge on arrival. Changeovers are Saturday at 10.00 / Saturday at 16.00. Clean linen, towels and pool towels are provided at the beginning of each let.
