Annie and André welcome you to their provencal farmhouse comfortably furnished with pretty country furniture, Internet high speed,WiFi, snuggled in 17 acres of gentle hills and valleys with views stretching across the countryside. Within reach of Avignon (12 kms), les Baux (35 kms), Saint-Rémy, Nimes, Arles (40 kms), Uzes, le Lubéron, and the Camargue and the coast and beaches of the Mediterranean (80 kms), Le Rocher Pointu is an ideal base from which to explore and to relax. Self catering basis with kitchenette . Barbecue... Ping-pong, Pétanque (game of bowls). The swimming pool 12m x 4,50m, where you can relax, is terraced and furnished with sunbeds, and has panoramic views across the valleys. Within reach, there are riding stables, 18 hole golf course, canoe-kayaking in the breathtaking Gorges du Verdon. Location: Avignon in France

By railway TGV (high speed), only 2h30min from Paris. Les Baux-de-Provence (35 kms), a village with a great historical past, strikingly situated on a great crag of rock with fine views from the castle towards Arles and the Camargue. Arles (35kms) founded by the Romans and with its associations with the painter Vincent van Gogh, is the gateway to the Camargue, a vast protected reserve, which is home to flocks of pink flamingoes, passing migratory birds and herds of wild horses. Les-Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer (80kms), is a famous meeting place for gypsies and once a year there is huge, colourful festival, with lots of music and dancing. St Rémy-de-Provence birthplace of the astrologer Nostradamus in 1503 and Uzès one of the most charming towns in Provence are both 35 kms away. Orange (25 kms) has one of the finest and best preserved Roman theatres. The hills and plains of Le Luberon are 40kms away, where you can visit the Provencal villages of Gordes, Roussillon, Oppè
