Renovated house with character, independent garden and magnificent view of the Gironde. 3 km from the village of Talmont, with the most beautiful saintongeais church and a Gallo-Roman of Fâ archaeological site. 8km from 5 sandy beaches of Meschers, hanged out in the rocks; from Mortagne harbour, this looks like a Breton harbour, at the foot of the chalky cliffs. 17 km from Royan, the big and festive city of Côte de Beauté. To see: zoo of La Palmyre, forest of La Coubre - lighthouse of Cordouan - village of Mornac - oyster-farming harbour and restaurants of La Tremblade - Oléron and Ré islands - city of Saintes and its bullrings - city of La Rochelle and its marina - Cognac and its wine storehouses... etc. To do: walks in the nature in the swamps of Port Maubert and fishing in the estuary. Local gastronomy: Pineau, oysters of Marennes, mussels cooked in a fire of pine needle, mussels cooked with white wine, Charentais melon... Winter period: consumption of electricity and gas to add.
