4-stars rating. The «Maison du Dolmen», a genuine Périgord family house is located in the heart of the village in an animated yet very quiet environment. It is surrounded by a nice 2000 sqm garden with a covered swimming pool (6x12m). Its genuine XIXth century furniture, big fireplace (free firewood up to 1m3), high quality modern comfort will provide an enjoyable stay in all seasons. Bathing is possible from May to October with water temperature around 25 °. A bakery and small supermarket are within 100 m from the house. The owner's holiday house is on the same property but everyone's intimacy remains preserved. The Golden Book of the Maison du Dolmen» opened in 2006 can be consulted. The Maison du Dolmen can if you wish show you its truffle bed and its dolmen.

In the heart of the "Purple Perigord", the village of Faux is an ideal departure point for visiting the region, with its small towns, bastides and medieval castles, its prehistoric sites. It is close to Bergerac vineyards, where Monbazillac and Pécharmant are the most famous. Parents and children can enjoy some sporting activities ; two golf courses (9 and 18 holes) less than 7 and 14 km, a riding club in Faux. 13 km away from Bergerac airport, low-cost airlines will carry you to London and many British and Dutch towns in less than 2 hours.
