Gite Mirabelle is a luxury first floor apartment with private entrance located within the Manoir and sleeps up to 5 people comfortably. Gite Cerise is a ground floor, 1 bedroom cottage with private patio and direct access to the five acre gardens, a double sofa bed in the living room allows sleeping for up to 4 people.

We are located in the peace and tranquillity of the Champagne Ardenne countryside, on the edge of the Argonne forest. Champagne centres of Reims and Epernay are both within close driving distance. Visit the Champagne cellars to sample a glass or two! The local town of Sainte Menehould, birth place of Dom Perignon, has a selection of shops, supermarkets and an excellent restaurant.. Outdoor activities and sports available. The Champagne-Ardenne was at the heart of much WW1 action and was the stage for many famous battles, visit sites and memorials and learn more of the history of the region. Cycling is one of the best ways to enjoy the region, hire bikes from the Manoir for a day or the whole duration of your stay

About Us

We are an English couple living in France and the Manoir de Maffrecourt is our home. We are on hand 24 hours a day to help you get the very best out of your stay and can help with acvice on places to visit, local traditions, the best places to eat and much more. We are happy to help in any way prior to your holiday, including your travel arrangements. We welcome families with babies and young children and our gites have been checked for child safety. We provide toys and books in both our gites and a small selection of outdoor toys for the garden. Cots and high chairs come as standard in both gites free of charge.

Home Cooked Food

A menu of tempting home cooked food is available throughout your stay and can be pre-booked for the first night of your holiday. All our food is cooked at the manoir and contains vegetables grown in our garden when in season. Jams and chutney made from fruit grown in the garden and our own pasteurised apple juice is available to purchase while you are here.

Champagne

We stock a full range of excellent Vintage and non-vintage champagnes for your enjoyment during your stay. Comte Audoin de Dampierre Champagnes are served in French embassies and in some of the best restaurants in the world. Join us for our regular weekly Champagne tasting evening where you can meet other guests and sample any or all of the Champagnes in the range.
