Enchanting 16th C Manor House, lovingly restored to bring back to life its architectural treasures : beautifully carved windows with interior stone seats, impressive flagstones and beams an arched stone sink, a gothic fireplace .. Antique furniture, paintings and subtle colour schemes enhance the house?s character and create a relaxing ambiance Emiilia, 212 years old decided the house was 'a fairy castle?, no doubt the castle was in her imagination but the fairy is perhaps more ?tangible? since a local legend relates the tale of the nearby spring 's fairy and a Carolingian knight. Aerial photographs revealing the presence of a nearby Celtic enclosure confirm the house ?s very ancient roots.. Relax in the pretty enclosed gdn, ideal for children with its private heated pool . The house is fully detached, its ground floor accommodation 112m2 sleeps 6 and a baby (cot, high chair, baby bath provided free of charge), children are welcome.. The house has been restored according to local traditions and ecological concerns, its thick walls have been re limed , increasing their insulation power and have been washed with warm, natural pigments. They keep the property beautifully cool during hot summer days!.. The wooden windows are either double glazed or single glazed with wooden shutters, the uninhabited first floor is insulated (200mm), there is a woodstove and all electric appliances are A rated. Relax in the enclosed garden, ideal for children,its very sheltered location is a veritable heat trap, enjoy the private heated pool, the scent of the old roses, have lunch under the pergola, enjoy a good barbecue!.
