El Escondite is situated in the centre of the small village of El Pinar de Bedar, close to the delightful towns of Mojacar, Bedar and Garrucha. The interior is perfectly designed for simple summer living – cool. Ceramic floors and attractive furniture create a charming living/dining room complemented by a functional kitchen. A pleasant double bedroom is fitted with an overhead fan and ensuite bathroom. The two twin bedrooms share a second bathroom. The location will make this villa a popular choice for those who place seclusion over fashionable interiors, with the beaches of Andalucia only a short distance away. The property is well suited to couples and small families alike with a private terrace, complete with jacuzzi, particularly enticing for alfresco dining and barbecues. If you don't want the privacy of relaxing in the jacuzzi you will find 50 metres away, Bar El Pinar with its swimming pool, restaurant and bar.

The Village: El Pinar is a popular village steeped in local history situated in the mountains of Sierra Los Filabres. Two minutes walk will take you to the village square, behind which is the English run “Bar El Pinar” which serves snacks and meals. The bar features a large swimming pool which is available during the summer months.

Surroundings: The villa is 15 minutes from the beach resort of Mojacar Playa for those seeking all the facilities of a modern Spanish holiday. Mojacar - a dazzling white hilltop village - overlooks the sea on the Costa de Almeria. Full of little squares and narrow streets, this picturesque village reflects the Moorish influence which has prevailed in Mojacar for centuries. The nearby town of Garrucha has a wide selection of sandy beaches, typical shopping and many attractions of a fishing village.

Out and About: A car is essential for the duration of your stay. The villa is 45 minutes from Almeria airport or 2 hours from Alicante – both easy motorway drives. There is an excellent selection of restaurants and tapas bars serving mouth watering Spanish specialities in and around the area. Whether it’s sailing, fishing, bowling, tennis or golf that takes your fancy, exploring the real Andalucia, or simply soaking up the sun on an uncrowded beach, you will find it in and around El Pinar.
