A charming 3 bedroom Tuscan house set within the medieval walls of Barga & enjoying far reaching views over the Apuanian Alps beyond. Believed to be several hundred years old, the house retains many original features such as beamed ceilings, original terracotta tiled floors & shuttered windows. The house is simply & comfortably furnished & sleeps 6. downstairs there is a lounge with television & open fireplace, a separate dining room with oak dining table & ample seating for 6/8 people. Along with the kitchen which has a gas cooker fridge/freezer & washing machine. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms (2 of which are connecting) along with the bathroom. Bedroom one has a double bed, bedroom 2 has 2 singles & bedroom 3 has bunk beds. Travel cot. Outside there is a garden with patio set. The house is situated next door to IL DUOMO (the cathedral) & is ideally placed to explore all Barga has to offer.

Lovely old house in an enviable location with fantastic views from house and terrace. Handy for the bars and restaurants of old Barga and adjacent to Duomo. The church bells were not intrusive but a pleasant interlude, to my relief. Property is very traditional internally which adds to its charm, but might not suit all tastes. It's well stocked with crockery etc.Good customer service in UK and in Barga. The local contacts were very friendly and helpful. It wouldn't be great for anyone with mobility problems as it is at the top of a very steep hill, but would suit most types of families/groups.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

beautiful location, can't beat the sound of the cathedral bells, our fav destnation, have stayed in this house for the last few years when we visit Tuscany. Simple, but comfortable and clean. great at festival time with live music in the piazzas and the big market in town.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
