Le Pech is a two bedroomed fully equipped and comfortable cottage.The prominent position of le Pech at the summit of Montlauzun offers you exceptional views over two very peaceful valleys and makes the reputation of Le Pech. Our visitors love to sit out on one of the two terraces admire the views and enjoy the tranquility of the situation. The cottage itself is a romantics paradise. The charm of Le Pech comes from an authentic restoration respecting the age and ambiance of the ancient blacksmiths cottage with quality furniture and all modern comforts providing an ideal place for relaxation. A perfect holiday for hikers, Orchid lovers and twichers as well as those who love the French way of life, medieval markets, food and wine.

Location: Lot in France

Situated on a hilltop of the Quercy Blanc between the villages of Montcuq and Lauzerte both reputed for their colourful markets and café life. Montcuq has a beautiful pleasure lake which provides a very peaceful place for many months of the year and provides a fun sandy beach and swimming area during the fairer months. Le Pech is ideal for visiting Cahors, the Lot river valley and the famous Cahors black wine vineyards. The rolling hillsides provide a walkers paradise. Hike along the world renowned GR65 walkers path of St James of Compostella. Walk over the wild chalky plateaux ridden with orchids in April and May, or stroll down the country lanes amongst the cultivated fields and orchards. For those more adventurous, plenty of days trips are within reach of Le Pech. For example Rocamadour and Padirac to the north , Montflanquin to the West,Toulouse to the South to name but a few.

We rent as you request from nightly to weekly, to monthly and from January to December. For a weekend the rental is available from the Friday from 4pm until Sunday 7pm. Nighty rentals work by room and by number of people renting. We request 50 euros the room anad 30 euros the second room for full occupancy.

  • Advance payment : 25% of the rental price.
  • Reservation deposit : 25% of the rental price.
  • Our prices vary from 60 euros a room a night to 570 euros the week in high season. We request 25 of the rental price on reservation and the balance and caution cheque are due 4 weeks before your arrival. The caution cheque will be sent back to you within ten days of your departure once all checks have been made. You can get full details directly from our website. Any week available three weeks before the start date of the occupancy will profit from a last minute reduction. Heating supplement 60 euros, wood for fire 8 euros the barrow full. Sheets and towel rental for 10 euros per person.
    Weekend break: - 2 nights + sheets + breakfast 2 to 4 people 160 euros.

  • The bathroom is small, clean and well equipped. It has a miniature bath with wall mounted shower, a vanity unit with large mirror and lighting and loo; a large radiator, a mechanical ventilation and two windows.

  • including - 2 Baby Cribs, 1 Double Bed, 3 Single Beds
  • Le pech has two bedrooms. One with a king size double bed and a second twin room which can have a third bed on request. The rooms are well furnished with wardrobes, drawers and bed side cabinets. The floors are tiled with the traditional hexagonal "tomettes". All bad side mats are washed through between each rental.

We have also installed an Internet access to allow you to keep an eye on affairs or the property market for those seeking to buy in the area.
