The villa is in Carcans on a forested site where nature is part of everyday life. Small footpaths lead you along the wild banks of Lake Carcans-Hourtin (2000m2, largest natural lake in France). 3 miles to the town centre where you?ll find all you need for your daily life. The Carcans-Maubuisson spa is 8 miles away. There are a huge variety activities to contribute to a pleasant holiday with family or friends (beach, restaurants, shops, nightclubs, cinema, sport: windsurfing, hobby catamaran, water skiing). Learn to surf! You can also enjoy the long stretches of sandy beaches (9 miles). Ideal location for a stroll around the Médocain vineyards and famous chateaux (18 miles away). Discover Bordeaux's architecture (UNESCO world heritage site) 30 miles away or the natural beauty of the Arcachon basin, 18 miles away.

During peak and high season the villa is only available for 7 nights at a time, starting at 4pm on a Saturday. In order to give us time to prepare the house for new guests, we ask that you leave by 10 am. At other times of year you may arrive on a different day (contact the owner for details). Out of season you can also stay for just a few days or a weekend (2 nights minimum), arrival and departure times can be agreed.

  • Damage deposit : 800 €
  • Reservation deposit : 30% of the rental price.
  • Prices shown are based on 12 people staying for a week. Water, electricity and heating are included. Bed linen and towels are not included, but bedding can be hired for 12 EUR per bed. For a complete holiday, chose to have your cleaning done for you at the end of your stay (120 EUR). There is a down payment of 30 percent payable on booking. The balance and potential tax (contact owner for details), cleaning or linen hire if wanted and a security deposit 600 EUR are all payable on arrival. The deposit will be returned within 7 days after you leave, depending on the condition of the villa.

  • For your convenience the villa has two separate shower rooms, each with a relaxing jet shower and built-in radio - spend a few moments of relaxation! There is also a sink unit with a toothbrush holder, soap dish, beaker etc. There is a baby bath available on request.

  • including - 1 Baby Crib, 3 Double Beds, 4 Single Beds, 2 Sofa beds/Futons
  • The house has 4 bedrooms, tastefully decorated, 3 of which are very spacious (22m2). Each is named after our beautiful Atlantic coast. "Dune" has a double bed and stylish wardrobe. "Ocean" has a double bed and a wardrobe which has been renovated by the owner. "Oyat" (tall grasses) has 4 single beds and 2 storage units. Finally, the smallest room "Ecume" (foam) has lots of character with rough stone walls, a double bed and a storage unit. Each bed has duvet and pillows.

Notes: Your children need a holiday, but so do you! That is why the house has 2500m2 of closed land with a children's play area (sand pit, wooden fort, swing, 4.5m pool (in summer)). For old and young alike there is a court for volleyball or badminton, 1 man's bike, 1 lady's bike and 1 child's bike (6-7yrs). Other equipment at your disposal includes a hammock and sun loungers. There is an outhouse for storing bikes, surf boards, water sports equipment etc. For babies we provide a high chair, fold-up cot, changing mat and pushchair.
