Photos and Description of this Agen area holiday farmhouse

La Clé des Champs stands in its own grounds (23 of an acre), with no immediate neighbours, in a sunny, elevated position with good views of the open country-side. In front of the house there is a large lawn area, suitable for sporting activities, as well as some well-established trees for a siesta in the shade or breakfast alfresco. Ample parking space close to the house. The house consists of a spacious comfortable sitting-room (2 leather sofas and additional chairs, satellite TV, Hi-Fi DVD player), a separate dining-room seating 12, both with open fire-place, exposed beams, also a large, modern, fully equipped kitchen (American fridge). Behind the house:a terrace with a large motorised awning, a gas BBQ, table and chairs for 12, floodlight, perfect for eating alfresco. In the secluded gardens is the salt system pool ( 12 x 6 ). Sun loungers and parasols are provided for some serious sun-worshipping. The whole area and the pool itself are entirely private,and can be lit up at night

The house is 500 metres from Montgaillard (a sleepy Village Fleuri )6 kms from Lavit, where you will find shops, bank and post-office, doctors, dentists and vets, a chemist, tennis courts, a bar with internet facilities, a 2424 service station and a restaurant. Leisure lakes 12 kms, fishing lakes 5kms, golf 20 kms. Numerous walking cycling circuits. Garonne Valley and Canal du midi 20kms. The nearest motorway is 20 minutes away ( A62 exit 8 Valence d'Agen or exit 9 Castelsarrasin). The nearest airports are Toulouse-Blagnac ( 55 minutes) or Carcassonne ( 1h30). The nearest TGV station is Agen ( 55 minutes). - 20 min. from Auvillar and the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage roads. - 30 min. from Moissac and its cloisters. - 1h to Toulouse, la Ville Rose and the Airbus factory. - 1h30 to Albi and the Toulouse-Lautrec museum. - approx. 2h30 drive: the Pyrénées and Gavarnie and the Pic du Midi, Rocamadour and the Dordogne, Lourdes, Spain, the Atlantic or the Mediterranean!!!

  • - Charges are extra
    - Damage deposit : 500 €
    - Advance payment : 25% of the rental price.

    Prices include water plus the butane gas for the hob and the BBQ, but there will be a charge for the electricity ( meter will be read on arrival and departure and the units will be charged according to EDF rates ).
    A non-refundable deposit of 25 will validate the reservation, with the balance to be paid 8 weeks before arrival, together with a 500 security deposit which will be refunded less damages and electricity charges a few days after your departure.
    Bed and house linen is available at a cost of 5 per person per week. This includes all pool towels. Fresh linen is provided every week.
    A welcome pack of wine and other essentials is provided with our compliments.

  • Although the house has not been adapted for wheelchair users, the whole accommodation is on ground level and the doorways are wide enough for wheelchairs. Bedroom 1 and 2 with double bed and ensuite Bedroom 3 with twin beds and ensuite Bedroom 4 with double bed and single bed, and ensuite Bedroom 5 with 2 single beds plus washbasin. 2 cots are available on request. .

Also a breakfast area, seating 6. The traditional central corridor is wide enough to provide for well-stocked bookcases and a snug reading area.
