Coolclogher Manor is a luxury property rental on the Ring of Kerry
Coolclogher offers superb standards of comfort and privacy just a short distance from Killarney. The property is ideal for anyone wishing to enjoy the delights of Co Kerry and is situated just off the Ring of Kerry route. Bedrooms are large and beautifully appointed with wonderful views in every direction. Original antiques have been used to wonderful effect throughout the house, with the exception of modern super king beds that can easily convert to twin beds. Only the best Egyptian Cotton bed linen is used ensuring guests of a wonderful night's sleep. The large kitchen seats 12 and is equipped with everything for the keen cook. There is a separate dining room and two living rooms, which are welcoming, spacious, stylish and comfortable with open fires to warm the spirit. Stacks of books, newspapers, fresh flowers and luxurious rugs make Coolclogher Manor a welcome respite, where you can read for hours or let your mind drift whilst enjoying wonderful views.

The Kerry region of Southwest Ireland is one of the most attractive holiday areas in Ireland. This area has a spectacular coastline of over 1,000 km and has Ireland’s highest mountain Carrauntoohil at 1,039 m. This Region also has Ireland’s most southerly point and the most westerly point. The Region is a region of scenic contrasts. The long indented coastline blends with spectacular mountains, and the many rivers and lakes combine with these mountains to give a landscape that offers much to the visitor. Activity holidays play a large role in holiday plans with neighbouring Co Cork hosting the Irish Open Golf Championships on a number of occasions in recent years. Long distance walking is very popular in the region, as are the many cycle routes. In all about 1,000 kms of developed walking routes are available and about the same distance of developed or planned cycling routes await the visitor. Sea and shore fishing is widely available as is excellent game angling.

The Ring of Kerry region of Ireland abounds with numerous rivers and lakes, which provide some amazing Trout and Salmon Fishing. River Flesk: Walking distance from Coolclogher House. Stunning scenery. Great fishing - salmon, brown trout and peel (grilse). This is a medium size spate river. All methods of fishing allowed. A stretch of the river runs through the Coolclogher lands by the Old Mill. A truly unique location. River Laune: The River Laune is 10 minutes from Coolclogher House. This is lightly fished river. Salmon, sea trout and brown trout. It is excellent for fly fishing as water reaches 48 degrees for most of the day. We can advise on best type of fly to use. The River Laune is 18 miles long from the Lakes of Killarney to Killorglin. Sea Fishing - Day Trips; This is a fantastic day out and can be arranged through a local expert.

Nearby Killarney National Park is the ideal wilderness for the committed walker, for those who want short, stimulating and exceedingly beautiful walks and for cyclists of all levels of fitness and enthusiasm. One of the best walks circumvents Muckross Lake and is 13km of scenic splendour all the way. Another passes through Tomies Wood, a fine oak wood nestled between Tomies Mountain and Lough Leane and passing the picturesque O'Sullivan's Cascade. The walk from Knockreer House to Ross Castle is offers some great views, while the slightly longer trek along the shoulder of Mangerton Mountain includes parts of the Old Kenmare Road.
