Photos and Description of this Seez holiday chalet

Old chalet, renovated in 2002. Cot on request. Firewood provided. Less than 2 miles from the slopes, 3 miles from supermarket, Bourg St Maurice + cable cars. Raclette, fondue + hot serving platter provided. Private, relaxation guaranteed. "La maison bleue" is in the centre of a village of 500 inhabitants, protected from property speculation by the popularity of holiday homes in the region. There is no traffic on the road leading to the chalet. B road D1090 which crosses the village heading for Italy passes approx. 150m from the house and does not disturb the peace. The house has a 40m2 lawn in front with good quality garden furniture for 10 people + BBQ. This small garden is bordered by a cherry tree on one side and a peach tree on the other, joining an old communal pool of fresh drinking water (great for beer or rosé). In the north-east corner opposite the water is a small patio with flowers and garden furniture. Along the north side is a 11-15x3m pétanque pitch. Boules are provided

What can I say about the location? It is an ideal spot for a summer holiday if you want sports activities or quiet and relaxation. 3 miles from Villard lies Bourg St Maurice on the edge of Vanoise national park. This protected region of large and medium mountains (up to 3800m) is criss-crossed by signposted, safe footpaths, plotted on all ordinance survey maps. The village also has many magnificent paths leading to Mont Valezan hamlets, all easily negotiable for walkers of any age or experience.
