The modern, superbly equipped Chalet is right next to the ski slopes of Thyon Les Collons. In excellent order throughout, on the ground floor there is a generous living area with leather sofas, TV, fireplace and doors out to a balcony. The adjoining dining area has a large table for 10 people. The open kitchen has an island with ceramic hob and breakfast bar, as well as an access door to the balcony. There are high quality electrical appliances with oven and microwave, and a large fridge/freezer. On the upper floor, there is a double bedroom and a 2 bed bunk bedroom, shower room and a gallery with double sofa bed and cot. A door leads to the upper balcony. The basement has other 2 double bedrooms, shower room, sauna and laundry room. Outside, there is a grassy garden with barbecue overlooking a forest. The whole Chalet has fantastic views of the Dente Blanche and surrounding Valais Alps.

Les Alouettes is located on the Alpage de Thyon, close to the mountain village of Les Collons, in a small group of chalets beside the ski slopes and walking trails. The quiet village has shops, restaurants, bars, ski school and rental, post, bus, and tourist information. There are plenty of activities for winter and summer, including skiing, mountain biking, swimming, walking, sightseeing and the charming historic town of Sion is only 20 km away.

In the summer: In the summer, the area of the four valleys is a fantastic area for hiking, mountain biking and touring. The mountain world of the Valais Alps, Lake Geneva and Sion, the capital of the Valais region are all easily accessible.

Wine growing region and local produce: Between Martigny and Sierre, you will find vineyards, growing up the south facing slopes of the Rhone valley. As this is a country of contrasts, the different terrains produce unusual and great wines. The choice and quality is superb: Pinot Noir from Sierre and Salgesch, Fendant from Sion, Chardonnay from Conthey, Amigne from Vetroz and Humagne Rouge from Leytron. All these places are within a 45 minute drive from our Chalet. The Valais region is proud of its local food products. Cheese dairies abound, fruit and vegetables a plenty and the best of meats, farmed and wild - so much variety to sample and delight the taste, either on your own terrace or in the many mountain restaurants to discover while exploring the region.

Ski: At 1900 metres, Les Alouettes is situated close to the start of the Etherolla chair and above the start of the Trabanta chair. So the local slopes and chair lifts are easily accessible - 'Ski in, ski out' from the house is possible for intermediate skiers. Otherwise it is a 500 metre walk to the nearest piste. The Thyon/Les Collons area links in to the wonderful, snow-sure skiing area of the 4 Valleys with over 400 km slopes - a skiing and snowboarding paradise. There is skiing for all levels, from beginners to experts, with a good local ski school and runs for all levels in the local area. High-alpine ski-touring, glacier skiing and cross-country, are all within reach on skis.

Am liebsten würde ich schreiben, dass das Chalet nix taugt. Somit kommen vielleicht weniger Leute und ich hätte größeren Freiraum, wiederzukommen.
Ist aber alles Quatsch. Dieses Haus kann man uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Das ist die einzige Wahrheit.

Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl in diesem wunderschönen Chalet, das sehr gut und komfortabel eingerichtet ist. Das Chalet war sauber und schön vorbereitet bei unsere Ankunft. Sehr viele Unterhaltungsspiele, Fernseher, Radio etc. vorhanden. Sehr grosses Gefrierfach, grossen Kühlschrank, schöne Küche, sehr grosszüger Wohnraum. Schlafzimmer und Duschen sehr grosszügig konzipiert. Die Zufahrt mit Skiern problemlos möglich, auch direkte Wegfahrt für Skifahrer gut möglich direkt zur Piste, Anfänger und Snowborder gehen 4-5 Minuten zu Fuss und sind direkt an der Piste. Wir werden diese Chalet wieder mieten.

großzügige Wohnfläche, gediegene Ausstattung Mobiliar,
überdurchschnittliche Kücheneinrichtung, Bäder und Sauna gut, Parkplätze vorhanden(werden im Winter auch geräumt),Skipiste fußläufig
Chalet sehr gepflegt, Vorbereitungen durch Vermieter gut.Einkaufsmöglichkeiten besonders bei fresh-food eher begrenzt.Ich würde das Chalet nicht nur weiterempfehlen, sondern auch im kommenden Jahr wieder mieten.
