Casa Belvedere is Lake Front and it has a spectacular panoramic view over the lake. It is located in the small village of Dorio, on the east bank of the lake, near the better known Colico and 10 km from Bellano. The house is only a few yards from the village centre, railway station, grocery shops, baker's, and a bar which sells tobacco and newspapers. The cosy house has a garden and a terrace with garden furniture, deckchairs and a wonderful lake view. The flat is decorated with pale pleasant colours. You can reach the beach walking down a sloping path directly from the house.

Description of the apartment: Apartment with large living room with table and chairs, double couch for 2 people, TV. Dining room with fireplace, kitchen with 4 ring burners, oven, vent, fridge, freezer. Double bedroom with closet and small bathroom with shower. Washing machine. Main bathroom with tub. From the terrace and from the garden you can enjoy a wonderful view of the lake. It is possible to have lunch or to dine on the terrace or in the garden and enjoy the lake view and the breeze in front of the enchanting scenery that only Lake Como offers. Nice furniture. Pets allowed (25 euro a stay). Heating 50 € a week.

Ich fand die Wohnung sehr nett eingerichtet, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und der Kamin ist sehr gemütlich. Allerdings verursacht der Kamin eine sehr starke Rauchenentwicklung, da wahrscheinlich die Montage nicht sachgerecht war (Holzbalken innerhalb über der Öffnung). Auf den ersten Blick wirkt die Wohnung sauber, jedoch sollte man einen Blick hinter das Möbiliar vermeiden. Damit lassen sich sicherlich einige Urlaubstage gut verbringen, da die Lage mit dem Blick auf den See hervorragend ist. ABER, es ist dort dermaßen laut, da dort ein Zug direkt vor der Terrasse langfährt. An unserem ersten Tag, einem Sonntag, fuhr er ca. alle 15 Minuten, während der Woche ca. alle 20-25 Minuten ab morgens ca. 5:30 Uhr bis abends ca. 23:00 Uhr. Die ist für eine Erholung unzumutbar !! Eine Unterhaltung ist während der Zug vorbei fährt nicht möglich! Uns wurde zwar eine Ausgleichwohnung angeboten, diese entsprach allerdings nicht den gleichen Ansprüchen, so dass wir diese ablehnten und es gab kein weiteres Entgegenkommen der Vermietungsagentur. Letztendlich blieben wir auf unserern teuren Telefonkosten (um mit der Agentur zu kommunizieren) sitzen ohne Kostenerstattung und ohne einen finanziellen Ausgleich wegen Vorblendung falscher Tatsachen: dies ist alles andere als eine ruhige Lage, wo man sich erholen kann!

Ruhige Lage?

Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, sie ist sauber und die Vermieterin ist sehr nett. Die Aussage, dass sich die Wohnung in einer ruhigen Lage befindet, trifft aber nicht zu. Vor dem Haus ist die Strasse am See entlang, auf der in bestimmten Zeiten starker Verkehr herrscht, direkt vor der Terrasse (ca. 10m) fährt die Eisenbahn von morgens viertel nach fünf bis nachts um elf. Für Menschen mit leichtem Schlaf und dem Bedürfnis am Tag in Ruhe auf der Terrasse zu sitzen, ist diese Wohnung nicht geeignet. Nachdem wir uns nach zwei Tagen bei der Agentur gemeldet haben, weil diese Situation für uns unerträglich wurde, haben wir einen Tag später für den Rest der Woche eine andere Wohnung vermittelt bekommen.

Ganz schön laut

Wir haben im Juni 2008 zwei Woche in dem Haus verbracht. Die Wohnung an sich ist durchschnittlich eingerichtet, damit kann man zufrieden sein. Was wirklich genervt hat, war das unmittelbar vor dem Haus eine Bahn fährt und das jeden Tag zwischen 6 Uhr morgens bis kurz vor Mitternacht in etwa halbstündigen Intervallen.
Das Dörfchen ist ganz nett, hat aber außer einem kleinen Supermarkt und einer Bar nichts zu bieten. Für den regulären Einkauf oder den Strandbesuch ist also immer eine Fahrt nach Colico angezeigt. Die Vermittlung über die Agentur war unerfreulich, da man sich nicht an Vertragsvereinbarungen zu halten glauben brauchte. Die Vermieterin vor Ort hingegen war sehr nett.
Also - die Wohnung ist OK für Leute mit einem tiefen Schlaf oder Frühaufsteher.
