This lovely cottage nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees is ideal to spend holidays away from the crowd but not from the activities. It is located in a quiet place known for hiking and only 15 minutes (15 km) from Argeles beach and its sea activities or the Spanish border. You will have access to the huge owner's private swimming pool (7 x 12m) with its relaxing view on the church and the mountains (2 deckchairs and an umbrella will be reserved for you). In the big closed garden with mature trees (3000m²) you can play tennis table or just read a book in the shadow of a palm tree. At your disposition, you will have 2 isolated terraces oriented west and illuminated at night with garden furniture which allow you to eat or rest outside. The accommodation has a bedroom (double bed), a shower room, a living room with sofa bed and TV and an American kitchen totally equipped to simplify your life. It is ideal for 2 people if you like comfort and space but a couple with kids can enjoy it.

Montesquieu is a charming village, very sunny, in South of France nestled at the foothills of the Pyrenées, close to Spain and the sea. The cottage is located outside the village in a quiet place but lots of activities are possible. The area around is ideal for walking or mountain biking and you will find a tennis court and riding stables at less than 1 km by foot in the village itself. For golf players, St. Cyprien, close to the sea is 20 min away and Falgos in the mountain is 1 hour drive. There are several courses also in Spain within about 1 hour. If you prefer the sea, Argeles and all its amenities is at 15 km with easy access. In the Catalan country you can visit painter cities as the medieval harbour of Collioure (Matisse works), Ceret (Picasso, Modern Art museum), Figueres (Dali art museum), Romanesque architecture (chapel at St Genis, cathedral in Elne) or medieval village as Castelnou. Cathar fortresses (Queribus, Peyrpertuse) and Barcelona deserves the 2 hours drive.
